    Spotters Spotter 60/45

Yes, the Harpia is a completely different design and is not marketed as a military optic. To clarify my inference is that the Harpia is the next generation in optical design and improvement. The Harpia has better field of view, image quality and color correctness vs. the Spotter 45 or 60. EJ

    Spotters Spotter 60/45

If you do not need a reticle then consider the Zeiss Harpia 85mm or 95mm. The Harpia is a continuation of the Spotter 45/60. The Harpia has better resolution, color and field of view. Retail is $5000. Five year no fault warranty. EJ

The Venerable 308 vs "New gen" ubiquitous 6.5 Creedmoor LR - ELR Shootout

Gert, It is a steel plate range and you are making things way too complicated. Go ahead and get prepared for the ultimate beat down and humiliation! I suggest we not engage targets at one mile because the 6.5 creeeeeeedmooooor short bus is not large enough to transport all the creeed fanboys...

The Venerable 308 vs "New gen" ubiquitous 6.5 Creedmoor LR - ELR Shootout

The psychological warefare has JUST begun. The 6.5 creeeeedmoooor tongue lashing that you received at Blakley was only a preamble of things to come. The real beat down is on the way! The 6.5creeeeeedmoooooor is the one going down!!! Down on it's knees before the 3.....0...GREAT:):):)

The Venerable 308 vs "New gen" ubiquitous 6.5 Creedmoor LR - ELR Shootout

Back in the 90's it was common for us sling shooters to use 190's at in the 30Great. They worked well and bucked the wind better than 168's and 155's depending on the speed. Most are not using 200gr+ now but those that are immediately see the advantage.

The Venerable 308 vs "New gen" ubiquitous 6.5 Creedmoor LR - ELR Shootout

This will be a showdown between the 6.5 Creeeeeeeedmooooor and the 3....0.....Great. Nothing more and nothing less. No need to chime in with comments about other cartridges. It will be a longrange shootout between the 3...0......great and the wannabe creeeeeedmooooor....... This is not a...

    Which caliber is better

Currently, there is NO cartridge/bullet combination that is shoulder fired that will shoot over 3.5 miles accurately with any sense of repeatability! I do not get why people want to shoot 2+ miles when they cannot hit a 3'x3' plate at 2000 yards on demand. Shooting at these extended distances...

Gert. You forgot to mention one important point. Friends do not let friends shoot a 6.5 Creeeeeeeeeeeeeedmoooooooooor at "distance" especially at "The Arena". The 6.5 creeeeedmoooor fanboys found this out the hard way:):) EJ

2021 ELR rifle weight and caliber restrictions

More encumbering BS rules for those that want to compete in the light class. Many in the "light" class have already built .338 rigs that are over 26 pounds or have Cheytac bolt faces. Reminds me of the BS rule changes that King of 2 Miles did last year. What a joke! Make it easy and have...
