Advice on new AR-10, learning precision shooting

I did not read all the responses, so excuse me if someone else already mentioned this: First of all, shoot the rifle as is with the ammunition you have. As far as having different cartridges for your rifle I suggest doing two things. Get or borrow a chrono. Go to the range and get the...

Thanx Bobke, really appreciate it and will respect your cautions. My accumulated load ideas are in a folder up north where I am headed in a week or so. I spend winters in AZ and SD during summer. Usually load devo at 70-ish degrees. Agree on many suitable powders for the 308. My shooting...

    Kahles DLR Review

Hi Dave, I own both the Gen 1 Razor 5-20 and the K624. I am an average shooter, retired and shooting purely for fun at steel out to a bit over 1K. My rifles are in 6.5CM both gas and bolt. I owned the Razor b/4 the Kahles and do not intend to sell or trade up either scope. There is not...

RRA Lar 8 .308 charging handle

The info you got here so far is correct. I looked for years, even ordering two that were supposed to work from two different companies. I wanted a charging handle that was wider and making it easier for me to operate. The one linked here does not appear to be any wider than RRAs', so that...

    Suppressors Thunder Beast lead times...

Just asking. I and my shooting partner have started discussing getting suppressors. Old ears getting older. TBAC's seem to be the most often recommended in threads and is being favored by us, regardless of wait times. Which brings me to my question- In this thread it seems like the main...

    wanting a "nice" bolt gun

I think it is a good option, in that the components are good. But, have you priced other actions like Bat or Kelby? Other barrels (chambered or not) from Bartlein or Kreiger? And I've seen McMillan stocks for less money. There are other trigger options as well such as Jewel. You might be...

Rifle Scopes Bubble level for ZCO

US Optics rail mount is one I use. Folds out of the way. Caldwell makes a rail mount folder for a lot less. Warne scope mount is another good bubble level. It slides closed when not in use. Both, USO and W, are a little spendee but worth it. Have Spuhr's 4000 series rings...
