Thanks, definitely don't like tint or distortion. Will check out RMR HD. No, not a Ruger an air pistol. I had a couple of Mark 1s, back in the day, had Leupold 2x scopes.
I want to put a Trijicon 1moa Reflex sight on a handgun for small game-hunting/target shooting up to 50 yards. Which one would you suggest, SRO or RMR? Thanks
I wish I could get you a good image, I just cannot get this camera to capture the image you see in the scope. Scope is easy to get behind, even up to ten. Great little scope. <iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/535054418?badge=0&autopause=0&player_id=0&app_id=58479"...
Here some pics . On 1x & dot illuminated at 1 3 & 6. today with the slight overcast. 3 is more than enough today. 6 Is way to bright today. I was holding my phone camera & so focus is not good at all. If you mean a lot of the ret is not in view on 10 power , yes. but the image is good...
I like mine. The illuminated dot is daylight bright. You can see it in the brightest daylight. I am using mine on a squirrel rifle & don't shoot much past 50-60 yards. Is the first FF scope I liked. but it is actually SF too. Here is a photo, but I have no ability to get decent pictures...
On a lot of older rifles scopes with battery powered reticle illumination, the control & battery is on the ocular. You still find this on some scopes today. My question is, are there any mechanical , reliability or performance advantage to side vs ocular illuminated controls?
I bought a 1-10 Shorty from Don @ Long Range Supply. So far I love it. I have it on a pellet rifle, no recoil, using an old Aimpoint wide single ring. I have bad eyes & love the daylight bright dot.
I just ordered a a capped model from Don at Long Range Supply. He was very helpful. Probably be mid February before I get it. Which is fine. Denys video convinced me.
Don't have any experience with the Optika 5. But I have 2 Optika 6 , one is a 3-18x56, the other 2.5-15x44. Both are exceptional in low light. the glass is very good. I also have illuminated dots in mine. Which are daylight bright. A little on the heavy side, but other than that awesome.
Yes image focus. & the need to adjust Sf a lot. Your explanation to why , is helping me understand. It is a 10-100 yard thing more noticeable with higher power scopes. I use to hunt big game at long ranges & never had an issue or even noticed parallax or focus . Thanks.
Denys, If I had that scope I would definitely want the wheel. I use the SF a lot hunting small game 10-100 yards. On the few March scopes I have owned, the Side Focus , seemed to be a lil close , or very small adjustment was needed to change parallax. Almost too close. So the wheel...
Denys, with this short set up , can you still install a side focus wheel. What I mean is the side focus knob spaced outside of the scope mount to allow a side focus wheel to have clearance. Thanks for posting the pictures, they really clear up the SFP & FF Combo that I was having a hard...
Don't really need any more scopes, but keep getting drawn toward a March 1-10 SFP with the FD-2 ret. Is it going to be easy to get behind? It would be used for tree squirrels, shots will be 10 to 70 yards. Is the only 1-10 SFP , I see that has side focus/parallax down to 10...
I counted 156. but it says 150 on the vertical turret. Very audible and distinct, no play. The vertical turret knob is huge, if it was smaller it would be harder to turn. The windage turret knob is smaller & takes more force & it is audible and very distinct. It has a cap. The...
