Personally for target shooting it is the range at which my probability of a hit drops below XX% (whatever I decide that percentage needs to be depending on the situation). I think Newbie 2020 has the best definition I have seen so far.
I love them as a much more affordable 500 and in training bullet. Our 2 gun matches go out to 500, and these are what I load for those with great results. I can get 77 SMKs to shoot slightly better but not justfiably for the price difference.
I have about 400 pcs of Lapua brass that has 9-10 firings on it and has never been annealed. I'm sure they are reaching the end of their life but they still shoot a 4.5 SD over 24 shots at the muzzle with a 9.4 SD at 500 yds. Attached is my price per round calc with todays prices.

When I had a 6.5 I used those for practice and then used 140ELDM for matches. I used the same load and they shot just fine for a more affordable practice projectile.
I have some extra 205M primers laying around that I want to use in my AR loads. I have used them in bolt guns no problem but heard they are a little soft for AR's. Is that the case or are they good to go as I don't want to use my precious 450s right now? Thanks in advance.
