Fed 205M in AR platform loads?

I have some extra 205M primers laying around that I want to use in my AR loads. I have used them in bolt guns no problem but heard they are a little soft for AR's. Is that the case or are they good to go as I don't want to use my precious 450s right now? Thanks in advance.

I guess it helps to not hear some things then. A friend of mine has been using 205s in his for years with no issue. What is supposed to be the problem?

Hmmm, very interesting. Obviously it can be a problem then, but I’m not going to bother telling my friend unless something happens. He has been successfully using them to the tune of thousands without any issue that I’m aware of.
