Night Vision Iray CML25 - The $2,400 Compact Thermal Clip-On. Will The Poors Rejoice?

Is there anymore feedback on the CML25 as a clip-on and monocular. I’m a little interested.

    Night Vision InfiRay T2 Pro

Can the CML25 be mounted directly to a 1913 rail via a single scope ring (30mm or 34mm)? See the attached photo Both of these two NVM/MUM mounts should work for your purpose. https://www.opticsplanet.com/samson-nvm-14-screw-on-flip-to-side-mount.html...

Bushnell Nitro 1800 LRF rolling review and field testing

DVOR have these at $310 and with the current rebate of 29% it brings it to $220. If someone is going to order one, can they order me one too and post it to Australia! The rebate is only for the US.

Preorder AI style swept ball handle for savage!

The bolt handle looks great, very nice work. I'm really tempted to get at least two but would like to hear your feedback on cycling the bolt. It seems the force/pressure will now be further behind the bolt when cocking (hope that makes sense). It probably won't be an issue and could help...

    Night Vision Budget(ish) illuminators?

Likewise, I have the smaller Armasight XLR illuminator that was part of my Clip On and I have never noticed any red glow from it.

    Night Vision Budget(ish) illuminators?

I have the VIR-II it's a great all in one unit. I'm so happy with it I'm saving up for another one. The only downside is the IR illum is only for closer range stuff and the IR laser and IR illum operate together.

    Night Vision Budget(ish) illuminators?

Optics Planet have the Armasight Extra Long-Range Multi Functional IR Illuminator/Flashlight for $65. It's not too hard to find a 10% off coupon as well. https://www.opticsplanet.com/armasight-extra-long-range-multi-functional-ir-illuminator-flashlight.html

    Night Vision Armasight CO-MR tube

Thanks for the excellent info Shifty. I might track down a good used PVS 7 gen 3 tube and try it.

    Night Vision Armasight CO-MR tube

I have a gen 2 standard def Armasight CO-MR clip-on and was wondering if anyone knew the type/size of IIT it uses, I'd rather not open it up to find out atm. Just looking at the possibility of upgrading to a better image intensifier. Cheers,

Area 419 pic rail for CZ 455 or is there another?

Na, you don't need to drill and tap the receiver. There's six grub screws that push against the receiver when the rail is slid over the dovetail. Much like the DIP rail but a lot more solid and tighter fitting. If I need any more CZ rails in the future I might try the Area 419 out, it looks...

Area 419 pic rail for CZ 455 or is there another?

The 419 rail looks like a great option. I have a Murphy Precision 40MOA 455 rail and can't fault it, you can also get standard (0, 10, 20MOA) rails too. I have a DIP rail, while not too bad for the low cost, it's no where near the quality of the Murphy.

Night Vision Please help with clip-on optic

Thanks King, with your info and the above posts, I've settled on the P4i 1-4. It's USA made with German glass and I should be able to get it within my budget. Any excuse to buy a new scope is good times.

Night Vision Please help with clip-on optic

Thanks for that. I might look a bit more into it. I once had a NF NXS 2.5-10x32 which would have been great for it. Any scopes you’d recommend at around the $400-$600 budget. I’m using a SWFA 3-9 ffp atm and have Mark 4 3.5-10x40 sfp I could use.

Night Vision Please help with clip-on optic

Good to know, I’ve never used a scope with illumination behind a clip-on. I’ve probably shot over a hundred animals with my current NV setup (rabbits, foxes, pigs) and never felt the scope reticle was hard to see. Makes sense the NV settings are for monoculars behind the scope, like using one...

Night Vision Please help with clip-on optic

Thanks Geoff, that makes sense. Still tempted by the M536 but I'll give the P4i a go, it's gotten great reviews and looks pretty compact. If I had more funds I'd seriously look at the Burris 1-8, Razor 1-6 or Nightforce NXS1-8. One last question for the guys in the know, does objective...

Night Vision Please help with clip-on optic

Thanks Jay and guys for the solid advice. I'll go with the 1-4. I have read somewhere that a fixed scope has less lenses and should perform better than a variable scope, I was surprised when I looked through a fixed 10x scope with my CO how good it looked. But the M536 has a very short eye...

Night Vision Please help with clip-on optic

I have the need for a medium (25-200m) range scope to be used half the time with a gen 2 clip-on on an AR based 17hmr. I’m looking at either these two Steiner scopes: Steiner P4i 1-4x24 variable scope. Steiner M536 fixed 5x36 battle sight. Both scopes have NV settings and I’ll be using an IR...
