Would the 6-6.5x47 Lapua have a chance as a competition rifle if the rifle weighed 4-5oz more than a comparable AR15? Meaning if an AR15 had the same length and profile barrel. It should push 105 Bergers to 3050-3100 fairly easily.

A 270 short more or less, a little more capacity than a 6BRX. .120 shorter than a 6.5x47. Made more for hunting than sniping. Should push a 130gr to apx 2800 from a 20" barrel. The bullet loaded is a 110gr HPBT, same as the 6.8 next to it. 223, 6.8, 270 short, 6.5x47, 308.

Opinions on a 338 magnum in a AR10 sized platform? It would be apx 300-350fps slower than a 338 Lapua with the same length barrel. A 20" barrel would push a 200gr to apx 2850fps, 250 gr to apx 2600. Apx the same performance as a 338 win mag.
