Accessories SOLD SKD PIG Brig Coyote Plate Carrier with Lvl III / Lvl IV ICW Plates (Including Side Plates)

Don’t put words in my mouth. I’m flexible. If you can demonstrate you’ve had some sort of a recent background check and remain in good standing, I’m good to go. Do you have a security clearance? Do you work at a school? Like I said, I’m flexible. I’m using the same policy that SKD does when they...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Pistol gripping problem-help

Keep your left index finger under the trigger guard like you've got it. Grip harder with both the left and right hands, don't grip so hard with the right so as to impair your trigger finger's function, but you can really squeeze with the left. Grip tape or especially stippling will really help...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Looking to buy my first competition/race gun

Yep, if you get an open gun you will not be shooting IDPA. You'll also be shooting 3 gun against guys with xrails and 22 round mag Saigas for shotguns. In USPSA you will be at a big disadvantage with a .40 because of the mag capacity, and at a big disadvantage with a 9mm because you aren't going...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns USPSA Production

Yeah, shooting a Beretta 92 in Open is going to be painful. The better option would be to load up your mags and shoot in Limited Minor (which is where you should be unless you have a dot or a comp on it). Otherwise just put 10 rounds in your mags. The mag you make ready with can be 11 rounds so...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns USPSA Production

The CZ slicks up very nicely, but I still prefer an M&P with Dawson sights, grip tape, and an apex kit.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Fireclean or Froglube?

I don't really care if you can enjoy fireclean as a refreshing beverage or not, it's not high on my list of issues for a gun lube.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Fireclean or Froglube?

Ever pulled a in-service transmission apart and it was rusty on the inside? Me neither. ATF is also an incredibly badass carbon solvent which I learned completely by surprise last November.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Fireclean or Froglube?

My apologies. I forgot for a few seconds that snipershide.com was the only reliable source of information on the internet. I'll try to do better in the future instead of listening to things like the experience of one of the top 2011 and shotgun gunsmiths in the county.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Fireclean or Froglube?

About half of the guys in those threads are personal friends of mine that I've known and been shooting competitively (USPSA and 3 gun) with for the last 5 years. Combined we're putting somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 rounds down range per year. I don't really care if they had an objective...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Fireclean or Froglube?

Toss all the flags you like, there seems to be a sample size of several that independently say if you put too much on and it gets cold the guns don't work so good. :)

    JP not timing correctly

Yeah, I've had to hit several crush washers with a big file to make them work. Didn't have a peel washer at the time.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Accuracy for IDPA

Yep. Have to get points or the speed doesn't matter. IDPA is even more accuracy centric than USPSA, penalties are brutal at least from what I remember.
