Rifle Scopes New Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4X, anyone have info?

Re: New Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4X, anyone have info? I went with the red triangle as it was available when I wanted to order one. It sits on my patrol rifle right now. I am actually faster with it than I was with my RDS, mostly due to the much brighter reticle. For fine shooting I have to...

Rifle Scopes IOR 3-18x with mp8 reticle

Re: IOR 3-18x with mp8 reticle I love the reticle so much I have two IOR's. The more I use it the more I love it. As I am getting better with ranging and hold overs, the reticle is really showing its value.

Rifle Scopes IOR 3-18x with mp8 reticle

Re: IOR 3-18x with mp8 reticle My elevation turret is tighter than the windage, but not to the point that it is a bother. I figured it was tighter as the knob was bigger and could apply more leverage.

    FN SCAR

Re: FN SCAR I've got two XCR's and while I would like a SCAR for my collection, I can't really see what it does better than my XCR, other than having FN marked on it. IF the SCAR's can ever be had at or under $2K I might look at one.

How many rounds do you have through your 308?

Re: How many rounds do you have through your 308? I am coming up on 3K through my DPMS semi auto. It is a factory AP4 profile barrel. Factory loads only so far and it is more accurate now than before or maybe it is that I am more accurate with it than before.

Rifle Scopes IOR 10X at 50 yards

Re: IOR 10X at 50 yards I use both of my IOR's from 25 yard to 500 so far and no problems at any distance. My 3-18 doesn't like much more than 5-6 X at 25 yards My 2-12 focus down that close at all powers. Have you got your dipoter adjustment correct as I never have trouble focusing on the...

Viability of .223 as a precision gun

I just finished building a heavy barrel XCR in .223. The gun has a Magpul CTR stock, the new enhanced trigger group, 16 inch heavy barrel topped off with an IOR 2-12. In preparation for a training we are hosting I have been running through all the drills with this gun with our practice ammo...

    Training Ideas

Re: Training Ideas I came across a "Bill" drill for precision rigs and an "el presidente" for precision rigs in a LE article. Let me know what you guys think of them. I ask as when I ran the drills by one of the guys on the team he could not see the value in them. For the bill drill, the...

    Training Ideas

Re: Training Ideas I love the building drill. We will be using this down the road and maybe for the regional day. There is still a lot to be done and I don't know if we could get everything done. I shot Insayn's drill today using a T zone face target and it is anything but easy. I was...

    Training Ideas

Re: Training Ideas We do a drill that covers a lot of the same skills as sectorization. We use a deck of cards, with the cards split between 2 or 4 boards set at 50 and 100 yards, or 25, 50, 75, 100. The RO drops a card between the pair and they have a limited time to scan the boards, find...

    Rifle Scopes Opinion on IOR

Re: Opinion on IOR I sent my 3-18 back as there were a couple little bubbles in the bottom 1/3. They weren't noticeable all the time and didn't affect a thing. I ran the claim through Scott and he arranged for me to send it back to Valdada. I had a new scope a week later. I can say that...

    Rifle Scopes Opinion on IOR

Re: Opinion on IOR I've got a 2-12 and a 3-18. I love the MP8 reticle and the glass is amazing IMHO. Granted all I can compare them to is one NF and a couple of Leupold MK4's. In looking at the web page, it looks like the 4-14 non illuminated has capped knobs. If these are like the ones...

    Training Ideas

Re: Training Ideas Guys there are some great ideas here and I will be incorporating a lot of them. It is a one day joint training and all the guys attending should be practicing LE marksman. We do one of these a year so the snipers can share ideas and learn to work with each other or at...

Rifle Scopes Best tactical competition scope for around $1200

Re: Best tactical competition scope for around $1200 I've got two IOR scopes and one gets used monthly at a minimum, dialing in various corrections. It has proven to be very repeatable. The MP-8 reticle is real quick on range estimations. I have gotten to where I am plus or minus 10 yards...

    Training Ideas

All, The agency I work for is hosting our yearly sniper training day for our tactical association. We have 2.5 hours for stations and are expecting 18 to 20 MO's. Our range is big enough to safely run up to 5 different stations at a time. Depending on the number of stations we will have 30...
