    Since we can access that tapered shoulder to clean it. What about just an endcap that screws onto the threads of the can? Would make machining pretty easy. if for some reason you wanted to protect the tapered shoulder. And separate insert could be slid in. Then put the end cap on to lock it all...

    Thankful I found this thread. Just picked up my 338 ultra RR-BA. Wont need the RR for all the rounds im shooting. So the option of a flat cap would be nice! I've emailed TBAC as well. Since a few other makers offer various end caps the whole is it legal thing just doesn't sound quite correct.

    Re: Just learned about these "Oil Can Adapters" WTF?? When i was doing research on what filter to use on my Tundra i found out that most vehicles oil filters have a metal disk and spring in the end. So with that said...guessing there are only certain filters the guy recommends for his "adapter"
