I'm gonna ask anyway. Where the hell does one start with getting a holster for CC? How does one know what your gonna like? Cross draw, middle of the back, paddle holster, dominant side, Kydek, leather, etc. My future son-in-law is a county officer and he says he's tried a whole bunch of holsters...
I just finished reading a book titled "Down South - One Tour in Vietnam" by William H. Hardwick and towards the end the author(he's a Marine officer) tells about a Marine Sniper shooting a couple of NVA at a thousand meters with a .270-caliber scoped target rifle. I just thought all the services...

This is a Rem factory rifle. The bolt handle hits on the rear of the bolt handle slot cut in the action. I checked other Rems I have and most have the bolt handle more or less centered in the bolt handle slot cut in the action. Could I just file a little off the rear bolt handle slot in the...
Re: Oehler 35P Thoughts & Review My 35P is going on 16 years now. I finally had to replace one of the shy screens, because one of the wires broke right where you plug it in the chronograph. Never shot a sky screen though I have my skyscreen on a 4' pice on conduit, it fits in a Plano hard...
Re: Cheap and fine grit corn cob media find. Read this post the other nite, went to the website and 80lbs was sitting on my front porch today. I like this company. Thanks USMCj a bunch! Tom
Re: Making 6.5 Creemoor brass I tried running new Win 7/08 brass thru the Redding body die and the case wall wrinkles up just below the shoulder and I was using Imperial Die Sizing Lube. I have a RCBS 7BR forming die set so I used the first forming die which pushes the shoulder back, ya gotta...
Bought a Rem R-25 in 7/08. Been a big fan of the 7/08 for years now, but they were all bolt rifles and I'm a little lost on loading for the R-25. I'm not looking for loads, but more on advice on where to start, say compared to a bolt rifle load. Thanks, Tom
Bought a Rem .223 5-R and was planning on using a Leupold 6.5-20x LR, the one with the 30mm tube and the 40 objective. I have TPS low HRT rings on it now, but the scope is to high, I have to lift my head off the stock to see thru the scope. Any ideas for lower rings?? Tom
Re: Which Seating Die? Few years back I bought 1000 rds of Scharch's fully prepped brass, F/L sized ready to load they said. Loaded up 50 rds to try in a new AR and when I released the bolt on the first rd the bolt didn't lock up. Pulled the AR apart and tried just dropping a loaded rd in the...
Re: A few more bedding tips (Pic Heavy) I use Synlube 1000 Release Agent, made by Hyperlast, much better than waxes or shoe polish and a heck of a lot easier to use. Comes in a 10.5 aresol can, you can do a lot of bedding with one can. Tom
