what is needed to run a badger m4 floorplate instead of m5 on a surgeon action?

Or should I get rid of the 308 all together and build something in a long action?

I have a surgeon 6.5 creedmoor that I bought new from them about a year ago and love everything about it. Mcmillan A5 26" Krieger with a uso 5-25. Right before I ordered it I found a helluva deal on a 308 on gunbroker, surgeon 591, McMillan a5, badger m5, jewel, 24" mike rock m24 contour 308...

I think my next is going to be 30/06!

Re: Thank You Snipers Hide Thank you William. Before deer season I had William do some work on a 700 300wsm, the work he did was excellent. That freakin gun is a deer hammer. Killed 5 deer and 3 hogs with it already. Anybody looking to have a gun built or have work done on one you already...

Re: Repillar an A5? Fixing to start collecting parts to bring you my 308 after the first of the year. Wanting to swap it over to detatchable magazine. It may not need new pillars, just wondering in case it did. On a side note, that 300wsm shoots awesome.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever replaced the pillars in an a5 mcmillan?
