Gunsmithing Different bedding styles, how do they all work?

    improvised rifle

Re: improvised rifle I am working on a electric gun, similar to a rail gun, but no rails....should have a really long "barrel" life, and nice, HIGH velocitys. Due to design, the projo is hollow too, so other than being capable of really goode BCs, it will have some intresting terminal...

    6.5 VS 6.8

Re: 6.5 VS 6.8 To me, the 6.8 is too overrated...its main drawback is the case is too long to seat heavier (read, higher BC) bullets. That and the 6.5 has more energy all accross the board, and .264" to .277" gap isn't big enough that i would go with the bigger bullet. the main reason the...

    .22 rimfire upper for AR15

Re: .22 rimfire upper for AR15 I have a spikes (for fast shipping, i got it 5 weeks early) and it is great. As of now, i have a 5 MOA red dot on it, but it normally shoots inside that at 50yd, i will need to mount a scope to get better groups.

    Movie Theater Knowing

Re: Knowing IMO, the movie rocked till about the last 1/4. After that (mostly when the ship shows up) it becomes really stupid, and the effects are not well done. The "ending" is pretty good though, with all the fire..... The last scene was the most lacking, with all the CGI, very badly...

Bottom metal for a savage action?

I am helping a friend build a savage LR rifle in 7mm RM, and he wants to have detachable mags.... Anyone know of some bottom metal that will work with a savage 116 action? (that is what he has to start with: http://www.savagearms.com/116fcss.htm ) Thanks.

    AW/AE/AICS mag diffrences

Re: AW/AE/AICS mag diffrences "sorry I'm new but what's VLD's?" I didn't see anyone else reply, so i will. VLD stands for Very Low Drag, they are long (and typically heavy) for caliber bullets that often exceed COAL, and so don't work in aa lot of mag systems. IIRC berger bullets had...

How Accurate can an AR SPR really be?

Re: How Accurate can an AR SPR really be? Hey all, first post here! I find my SPR to shoot about .7 MOA (at 100yd) pretty regularly, and .5 MOA on occasion, and with a load it really likes. Now, this is in hands of a better shooter, and when i had better glass on it.
