If it shoots as good as mine you will love it. I've heard the mixed reviews, but as an owner of one I think it is fantastic. I run FGMM 168's through it. Good luck with it.
First of all the quality looks fine. Second here are things I would need to make it user friendly for myself... A. rear support for rear bag. B. The bipod would need to be moved forward unless I was running a very short barrel. I think it is a fine option for those that shoot mods out there.
Great information! I finally gain SOME credibility with my friends since they asked a few questions concerning this. I imagine that some of the reason for the high usage by the top guys is sponsorship but it still reflects sponsorship by top professional shops/manufacturers.
Had the same question five months ago...finally decided on a Surgeon. I concluded that to buy a M700 action and make it what I wanted it would be so close to a Surgeon that it was six one way half a dozen the other. I have never owned a custom action though so I went for it. Unfortunately I...
My personal favorite's are Mcmillan A4 and A5. I actually prefer the A4 over the A5 but both are amazing. Can't go wrong with a Manners vertical grip either.
The only thing screwed up with that is that you received your Surgeon before me. It's the missing link to my build right now. Seriously though, bad to the bone. You did yourself proud! Question what is Ion bonding?
I have been to eastern Wyoming and central South Dakota. Both times we stayed at a lodge and were semi-guided. I prefer that to doing all the leg work once I roll in from out of town. It was like a shooting vacation, we slept comfortably, we had awesome food and we unselfishly provided the...
Re: Need help ASAP plz "That" appears to be the rear portion of the aluminum bedding block. The bedding block is one peiece and is machined to fit the specific action, in your case a remington short action. The stock material is molded around the bedding block and usually looks like that.
Re: Tacticool bolt knobs......worth it or fad? First...to answer the question. A tactical bolt knob makes running the bolt a lot easier but does catch on things if that is an issue. Not a fad, its for function. Second. rkaires, that makes that rem look like an AI. I like it.
Re: What causes horizontal groups? I would agree with those before me. I think it is the guy pulling the trigger. I do it all the time too. Watch your breathing, trigger pull and follow-through.
Re: MonoPod Height w/ PRS Stock? 03, Not exactly the same gun but on my AR-15 I put the BT-12QK on my Magpul PRS. I use the shorter 6-9 harris though. One thing for sure to look at if you are getting a accu-shot is the metal cap for the base. I think it is an option you have to add. I use...
Re: Another Remington 700 AAC-SD thread I can not beleive you got that kind of accuracy from that crappy Hogue. Mine was terrible...loved the barreled action, hate the stock. Are you planning on re-stocking it?

Re: Tax Return = New GAP ? I say...anybody that drives a one ton diesel should own a 338 Lapua built by GAP! Sorry not much help in talking you out of it.
Re: *Announcing the 2009 Sniper's Hide Build Rifle Man I feel like I dodged a bullet. I stopped by this guys booth listened to his smoke and even took a flyer. I was actually interested in doing buisiness with this guy...glad I ran across this thread. I hope it all works out for you guys...
Re: Looking for Training Facilities close to Idaho Thanks venator! I just checked their website. They look to be professional. I noticed they were doing a training in Utah at a place called Sniper Country. Thanks for the lead.
Re: General use / shooting school Scope It sounds like a FFP scope would be a good idea and I would keep my eye out for a good used NF here on the hide. They come up pretty frequently. I really think with optics you get what you pay for. Durability is key for me though.
