You are getting 2820 fps with 153 grains out of a 6.5 CM? How big a barrel? Surely some pressure signs? 2820 is essentially 6.5 PRC territory with those bullets.

What elevation and climate are you getting 3100 fps at? And what kind of brass? Seems like Hodgdon is saying Max 56.5 for H1k and I was getting pretty bad pressure signs at 56 or so.

Check out the main 300 PRC topic here. Most folks are using either H1000 or RL26 if you can find it. I am currently working on 6.5 PRC but will do 300 PRC shortly. Both in Ruger RPRs. IMR 8133 seems like will have some good potential in 300 PRC and getting some promising data on ladder test...

My take on the MDT Oryx chassis in the Howa Oryx gun in 308 Winchester.

Just put together a video of my 3 month test of this rifle.

Had the pleasure of working with the gun for a few months and after a few quirks (loose bolts from factory), what a joy! Just under MOA 5 shot with Hornady Match and sub half MOA with basic handloads. Very nice chassis, effective brake. Will want to try one in 6.5 soon.

Got this gun from Thompson Center to play around with. Got to say, fairly nice gun. Was able to squeeze out under 1/2 MOA with Hornady 168grain HPBT and IMR 8208.
