I'm trying to decide between a Badger Ordinance flat or 20MOA tapered base for a Remington 700 R5 in .308. It's a damn shame they don't make a 10MOA... How much will the 20MOA base raise the back of my scope compared to a flat base? Could it really be the difference between having a cheek...

I was looking up BC’s on Sierra’s website and noticed that they list three different BC’s depending on the velocity of the bullet at a given moment. For the ultimate in accuracy, are there any ballistic calculators that have the ability to factor in different BC’s at different velocities? Or...
Will someone please explain how to reset the turret caps on my SWFA SS 3-9x42 so that after I zero my rifle, the caps read "0" for both elevation and windage? The scope didn't come with a manual. Thanks.

Re: Please help - SWFA 3-9x42 shooting loose in mount So 15 inch lbs for the ring tops, but what about the bottom ones? The same? Any recommendations on an accurate torque wrench that isn't exorbitantly priced? (I can't imagine using it for anything other than this). And yes, I too...
I bought a SWFA Super Sniper 3-9x42 scope and mounted it on my .223 rifle this weekend. Apparently I mounted it incorrectly, because after firing only 60 rounds, the scope has moved forward about .75 inches within my Larue LT-104 mount. I’m sure this is a matter of not tightening the screws in...
Re: Do new FFP scopes for ~$1000 exist? Alright, I've decided to go with the SWFA SS 3-9 FFP package deal. How is the S.S.A.L.T mount (the included AR/flattop mount)? Do I need to spring for a LaRue mount instead? Although I may do so regardless just because I like the QD feature...
I'm in the market for a good scope in the 3-9x power range for an AR, and am willing to spend ~$1000 (new). I'd really like it to be FFP with a ranging reticle, but all the ones I know of are well over $1000 (USO, S&B, Leupold). Are there other FFP options that I've overlooked? Thanks!
Does 10x magnification mean an object at 1000 yards will appear the same size as the same object viewed by the naked eye at 100 yards? If so, does this also mean the angular size of an object at 6x will appear exactly twice that of the same object at 3x? Thanks in advance for helping me...

I'm sure this is a noobie question but I'll ask anyway... Is the zero on a variable power scope only good for the magnification level at which it was zeroed? i.e. if I zero the rifle on 22x, would it no longer be zeroed if I changed the magnification to 6x? If this is the case, does anyone...
