Is there a min bbl length for an AR15? for example if you had a factory 24" barrel and chopped it down to say a couple of inches forward of the gas block is it gona have any negative effects?

Im new to dialing in distance on a scope, might be a dumb question but on the elevation turret it has an arrow pointing to the right saying up .25moa, im dead on at 100yd If the bullet drop is 6.4moa at 400yd which way do turn the turret? Does that make sense, im trying to get my head around...

Re: Who uses a tripod for shooting? PRS seems to be the one to, unfortunately it would be too expensive to buy and ship to NZ, I think im gonna have a crack at making my own.

Who uses a tripod, If you do did you buy a camera one and just make a cradle or something to hold the rifle? I want to make one for varmint shooting and need some ideas

Re: .223 AICS mags Cheers for the replies, the aussie website needs dod approval before shipping which could take weeks, but the UK website will deliver for about 1/4 of the cost to buy some here.

Anyone know if these mags are shipped out of the states by anyone? I have emailed a few websites asking but I havent got a reply yet. I would rather import a few myself as they sell in shops here for around $300-$400nzd a pop. Cheers
