    Need M1A scope mounting help

Just to throw it out there, lap those XTR rings before dropping your USO in them. Hate to see you damage your scope tube with so so rings.

    Need M1A scope mounting help

The GDI seems about 3/4" taller looking at pics and comparing to my setup (LRB M25 with 20MOA extended rail). You'll definitely want the lowest rings you can get. My USO 1.8-10x37 has no issues with the objective clearance, but the eyepiece is only about 1/16" off the rear sight with it fully...

    Need M1A scope mounting help

Get the Sage DCSB and some low BO or NF rings and you're set. That mount with the scope mount you mentioned will be stupidly high. Keep it as low as possible, the DCSB and low rings should keep it just over the rear sight.

Where can I go online to find a new M1A Springfield Loaded 22"? And what Scope?

I have a Krieger 18.5" medium weight barrel on it. It does well out to 600 yards and surplus ammo, and pretty good to 800 yards with 168gr. match ammo.

    Sage stock buying recommendations

If you trust them, Botach had them for $699 and free shipping. Cheap Sage stocks are hard to be found, if they come up, they're usually gone pretty fast.

Soft case for inside Pelican 1720

I have an Eagle HSRC LE 44 in a Pelican 1720. With a soft case you have some wiggle room to work with if the case isn't exactly the same outside dimensions as the inside of the Pelican.

Smith Enterprises, Inc. Suing over a forum post.

You're right, I didn't pay any money up front, I did ask them if they wanted money up front as I was willing to pay the full amount, but they declined. I ha e paid for things up front and waited a year to see them (JAE G2 stock), and I heard another three months every time I contacted them. Some...

Honestly, I have zero love for hammonje, the guy has rubbed me the wrong way from day one. There are a lot of people who do love him though and enjoy his banter about being a doctor and his "expert" advice on building rifles. I have him on my blocked list just cause some of the stuff he spouts...

    SAGE M14 / M1A chassis system

The Mod 0 weighs more than the ALCS/CV due to the steel rear end. The ALCS/CV uses an AR rear end and weighs about 1.5 pounds less (depending on the butt stock you choose).

    Scoping an LBR M25

I took off the rear sight on one rifle a while back, it only gained me about 1/8" lower, not enough to be worth it. With a Leupold 6.5-20X50 I ran BO .823" rings and just cleared the rear sight and hand guard. Most times you'll need anywhere between 1" to 1.75" of rise to get behind the scope...

    M1A Rifle Questions

A scout or 18/18.5" setup can get you out to 700m. I've shot mine out to 800+ with decent results. It's not a bolt action, so I don't expect those kind of results, but I can hit an 18X24 plate consistently even using surplus ammo. Seems like you know what you want and have fairly realistic...

If you're going to keep it, the SASS. If you're going to sell it, the M1A.

    Sage EBR Question??

Watch the recoil lugs on the LaRue, they're not solid across side to side allowing the top rail of the Sage to chew them up because of the cutout channel in the Sage top rail.

    M1A Issues

Zero movement? Hmmmm. I've seen an SAI rifle with an out of spec firing pin safety bridge that locked up the action and wouldn't cycle at all. Check your brass for sure. Also dry fire the rifle and try to cycle the action a few times with the muzzle down and then up.
