While there are a lot of very knowledgable people on this forum, I would ask KAC for their advice with something like this. You can also look at buying an SR-25 carbine.
There is also one listed on Impact Guns' website but no price is indicated. If you are feeling especially flush, look at the M110 kit listed on the same site for 36K.
I have one unfired that I bought new in Jan 2010. I doubt now that I will ever fire it. I paid slightly more than 6K for it. What were you thing about price?
I have a Bachelors in Aeronautical Engr and a Masters in Mechanical Engr. I worked with a major for 28 years in international drilling operations (mostly floating operations). At the risk of offending someone here, I would advise you not to pursue a degree in Petroleum Engr. Instead pursue...
I bought a couple of uppers from CTD some years ago and was satisfied with the price and delivery. I would not buy from them or any other dealer now at the current inflated prices. Why single out CTD when there are many others doing the same thing. Are they not allowed to sell for whatever...
I ordered five (max allowed by Ruger) of the 10-round clear 10/22 mags direct from Ruger on 30 Jan 13. I got an email on 28 Feb 13 indicating the mags have shipped. I have some of the the 25-round cap mags purchased for about $25/mag from Midway several months ago but prefer the 10-round ones.
Detractors not withstanding, I would buy an SR-25. In my case another SR-25. I have owned several others, and the SR-25 for me is the superior rifle. I have of course not owned them all. I would assume those who refer to the SR-25 as being over-priced and perhaps of inferior accuracy have...
Save a little more and get an SR-25. Put a cheap scope on it to begin with and upgrade the scope later if you decide you really are into this sort of thing.
My 82A-1 came with only one magazine and the cleaning kit. I believe the 107 comes with two magazines. I can't imagine that they would need to include any inducements in today's market.
Re: 308 Pmags then & now Thanks. I wasn't aware that all the newer ones had the window. I am not interested in selling just curious about the differences.
I have eight (8) 308 PMags that I bought when they were first introduced. Does anyone know what differences there are between the first generation and the current generation. Would the current ones be much more desirable than the older ones?
I have a Scar 17s, which I bought before the madness, and a Knights Mk 11 carbine. I have never fired either. Can anyone tell me what chamber gauges I should use - 308 or 7.52? I can now only find 308 Win 150 gr hunting rounds. Can anyone tell me what performance I can expect from both...
Re: Bushmaster ACR? A local Houston dealer has one of these and has had it for about three weeks. It is the basic model and priced at about 2600$. The price, of course, may not be firm. I handled it and was not impressed. It seems much heavier than necessary for a 556 but may be fine for...
