Federal Premium 168 gr Berger Hybrid Hunter factory has shot 3/16" MOA in my 16" proof 308 fix and it shot 1/2 MOA in a customers gun. My powder for my 16" 308 that is giving me over 2800 fps with a Barnes 130 is IMR3031.

The factory 16" Proof barrel I got from TAG in 308 saved 2 ounces over the lightweight contour factory B/T 308 barrel in 16". I wanted to maintain or decrease a little weight but wanted a heavier contour to maybe be able to shoot a little more without the thing walking around on me so fast.

I just got my 16" 308 proof barrel from TAG and it has the Q taper on the barrel so you are gonna need the taper adapter. Love the barrel though. Mine seems to have more clearance than a business card around the inside of the handguard. Does proof use a thinner contour than Supersubes did??

^^^This. TBAC holds crazy tolerances. SiCo is more volume mass production. Not bad cans, just not spectacular. Its not even about sound. Its just all the other attributes too. TBAC better Mounting system, less POI shift, lighter weight, more consisent build characteristics. SiCo does great...
