New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
50mm (1.97") height is now on the website. In 30mm diameter, mass is 117 grams (4.13 oz). 34mm diameter is 120 grams (4.23 oz). Here are some pics. I also updated original post to reflect corrected torque values appearing in the renderings.
Ted
I love your method. Generously complement his work and then hit him up for more features. That's smart and hard to ignore.
In regards to screw torque, 35 lb-in is what I'm recommending. The original renderings were created before updating the torque value and have since been replaced to...
Earth Folk,
Over the years, many people have asked me to design a cantilever scope mount optimized for AR-15 platforms. We'll I finally got around to it and here it is. We're calling it the AIR BRACE because the emphasis is on ultra-light weight while trying to keep the cantilever as stiff...
People of Earth, particularly those on Sniper’s Hide,
Twenty months after we announced our Coup De Grâce action here on the Hide, it is finally time to raise the price. The CDG can be ordered at the intro price of $899 through Labor Day, September 2. At 00:00 on September 3rd the price will...
The surface against which the safety lever is impinging coincides with that of the Rem 700. See pic below. Guard screw holes are used for alignment. I suppose we could bump it forward a bit but it would be nice if triggers advertised as R700 compatible were actually made that way.

Now shipping
As some of you have found out, we started shipping the Coup De Grâce. We're still not up to full speed but at least two hundred or so orders will be filled over the next few days. Please don't ask us when yours will ship because that will only cause delays for everyone. ARC team...
Barrel Interface Drawing Error
Gratitude goes out to tstevens who brought an error to my attention. The calculation for the ball measurement should be 2.0217 - .2887 x DimA, and not 2.0217 + .2887 x DimA. I carelessly made the dreaded sign error.
This is just another reason why I love the...
I might have been wrong about that. I'd really like both short and CIP long action double-stack AW-type mags for the .532 case head family. Does anyone make one? I was laying that out yesterday and it might work fine in this action. I did not find one on either the Mile High or the Accurate...
The CIP long action mag for the 338 Lapua/300 Norma family is different than that for the 300 WM family. Both mags will work in the long action Coup.
Non-CIP lengths mags will probably work as well so long as your chassis or stock is designed for them. Our long action Xylo chassis is designed...
Magazine Compatibility for Long Action Coup De Grâce
We have designed one variant of a long action receiver that works well with CIP length (3.85") single stack mags from Accuracy International and Accurate Mag.
Example Accuracy International AICS 338 CIP...
Placing an order
When placing an order, please hit the Pay Now button only once otherwise you will unintentionally place duplicate orders and that's not good for anyone.
Thank you.

Mag Latches
The chassis in the video has the standard latch in it. Although I cannot speak to other chassis, I am guessing that their standard latches will work fine with the AW mags and will need to be adjusted or shortened by 0.065" for the AICS mags.
Ted
Buy the Coup. The fact that it's optimized for use with the AI AW mag coupled with a highly evolved feature set really sets this thing apart. And at $900, all I can tell you is get in line.

Bolt Handle Strength
The Rem 700 handles were brazed onto the bolt bodies. Probably less than ideal.
We actually use a heavy ball peen hammer to open the Coup's bolt after destructive tests. Sometime we can't open them but them but we have yet to break a handle while trying. We have also...
Grease
We don't slather the actions with grease and never did. That said, grease is a good thing so long as it's used sparingly. It doesn't take much of it to reduce friction noticeably.
I've yet to find to metallic surfaces, coated or uncoated, that didn't slide against one another more...
It was supposed to be but we didn't get to it. Maybe tomorrow. We're screwing around with some editing software. Not sure why. An edited video from us would be a first.
Ted
Uh, no. It's never that simple. Literally millions of actions using bolt lug channels were made before the advent of wire EDM. Broaching is still highly productive and effective. One need only to look at Tikka or Savage to know that lug channels can be produced at very low cost in high...
AIAW and AICS or equivalent mags will work. The AX mag will not work because of a lug that protrudes from its forward face. You can see the difference in the attached pictures.
