finally got some shooting in: 1400yds with 308

Re: finally got some shooting in: 1400yds with 308 My load is 45.4gr of Varget behind a 175gr SMK. I'm running a pac-nor polygonal rifled barrel, which gives me a little more velocity without the pressures. I haven't successfully chronoed it yet, but I know from comparing my dope with other...

finally got some shooting in: 1400yds with 308

Re: finally got some shooting in: 1400yds with 308 It actually wasn't too bad. We'd lose a shot every once in a while, but we were usually able to see the splash, and some dust. I took our tractor, and mowed the grass where I put the first two targets, so the ground was easier to see, which...

finally got some shooting in: 1400yds with 308

After a shitty week, I decided it was time to do some shooting. My last roommate and myself headed east and did a little long range shooting. We also looked for coyotes (my dad and grandpa both said there were tons) and didn't see shit. Since the shooting position I usually use is on a hill, I...

    I F###ING HATE RUGER!!!

Re: I F###ING HATE RUGER!!! they really aren't that difficult to work on, I don't understand why so many people have problems. They're also probably the most reliable, well built rimfire pistol on the market. For the unsatisfied customers here, feel free to send me a PM, and I'll give you...

    40x at 400 yds

Re: 40x at 400 yds Rifle is a rem 40x built up from a barreled action acquired from CMP. B&C light tactical stock, BSA mil-mil FFP 4-14x scope. Had the barrel chopped a few inches and threaded, and that's a bowers 9mm subgun suppressor. (kinda looks like a .30 cal suppressor though, lol.)

    40x at 400 yds

So I decided what the hell, let's see what this thing does at 400 yds. It's nice being able to shoot from your back yard. Don't know if you can see them, but there's a 14" steel at 300 yds, just beyond the fence, and another at 400 yds, with a cardboard box beside it. The grass was too...

Re: SCOOOOOOORRRRREE I just picked up another Leupold I called and talked to them just the other day about the m5 dials, they're going to start installing them in the next month or two, and they're only going to install them on the mark4 scopes.

Some questions about the history of my new 40x

Re: Some questions about the history of my new 40x Well, the good news is that it's finally together. I'm going to try and get out this week and see how it shoots, we shall see. I finally got ahold of Remington, and they basically told me they had no idea why it was missing the caliber...

    Lets see your 40X rimfires!!

Re: Lets see your 40X rimfires!! Because of a small mixup, I'm still waiting on a bolt from PT&G Pictured next to it's little big brother in .308, I plan on cutting the barrel down to about the same length.

I need to know where I can buy this Compensator.

Re: I need to know where I can buy this Compensator. A muzzle brake that simple would be simple for any competent gunsmith to manufacture. Design it yourself, and you'll end up with exactly what you want. Have them quote you a price, they might be able to do it for the same or less than what...
