I bought a set of Nightforce four screw ultralight rings for a 4-16x42 scope. The torque specification list the torque as maximum of 25 in-lb for the cap screws, but is this what is needed?

From my experience, N150 is closer to Varget than H4350. Its really the only single base VV powder suitable for the 6.5 Creedmoor, but it works fairly well.

I’ve read threads that say RL16 will erode throats and barrel faster than H4350, and it seems to come from a QL simulation that indicates 95% burn in the first 8” of barrel. For those that use RL16 and H4350, have you experienced any real differences in erosion between the two powders?

How durable is DLC surface treatment? I have an action and bolt that was finished with DLC, and in less than 200 rounds the base steel is exposed in a couple of locations on the bolt.

I’m having a barrel chambered at GA Precision, and there reamer print has a 0.293” neck. Is this too tight without neck turning?

For those familiar with the Gap Tempest action wrench, does it butt up against the recoil lug and bolt to the front action screw and used with a 1/2” driver? The picture shows two pieces, but doesn’t appear to be a clamshell that bolts together. Thanks

Not sure who did the DLC, but it was done though PVA when installed the barrel.

How is the DLC applied? I thought it was a vapor disposition process with a charged surface that would drawing the material evenly across the surface. However, my action does not have any coating at all inside the raceway behind the ejection port. This would seem as though is was sprayed on like...

Is it difficult to remove the DLC entirely from the action and bolt? The way it is now, its worse than any factory Remington Ive had in smoothness of bolt manipulation.

Its a GAP Tempest and the DLC was applied aftermarket through the gunsmith. It was much smoother in the raw.

Mine is also worn down on the bolt body just in front of the cocking piece, but is definitely not slick. I've tried many oils and dry, and it sticks and grabs while cycling. Is there a simple way to see if it is actually cerakote and not DLC?
