Rifle Scopes Help Sightron SIII how to get mechanical zero?

Re: Help Sightron SIII how to get mechanical zero? You'll want to optically center your scope to effectively use your zee rings. Find the middle of the windage and elevation of the scope. Then when sighting in don't even touch your knobs, rather use the inserts to change your point impact...

    25-06 who's shooting one?

Re: 25-06 who's shooting one? OP the 25/06 will get your buddy there. I've had a standard and an improved. Like its been said the selection is few on target bullets, there are 3 decent choices but who cares. While B.C. usually wins the battle at long range, the velocity of the 25/06 just...

My best long range 15 shot group

Re: My best long range 15 shot group Here for a comparison picture. This is a completely different shooter and 600 yard range. The targets are the same size as Matthew's: Compared to Matthew's Target: The reason Matthew's target looks much closer is because the 300 and 500 yard...

My best long range 15 shot group

Re: My best long range 15 shot group Matthew, that seems to be the general consensus with these new Sightrons 10-50x60s. Most NF shooters will tell you that they prefer the 12-42, that's why I am a bit hesitant to purchase one for my upcoming build and I've seen a lot of them sold already...

My best long range 15 shot group

Re: My best long range 15 shot group Matthew that's really awesome grouping. How do you like your Sightron S-III 10-50x60 can you see bullet holes on a good day? Which brand of scope cap is that on your scope?

Rifle Scopes Opinions on Sightron S3 Scopes

Re: Opinions on Sightron S3 Scopes I've been shooting the 8-32 S-III and am fairly pleased with it. A couple of weeks ago I went up to the hills to do some target practice on a nice overcast day. I had my Caldwell Tip top grid targets (White) and could see 7mm bullet holes at 950 and 1000 on...

    Fieldcraft Killer Weed

Re: Killer Weed I think you are absolutely right about it being the same thing as "stalk-grass" it looks the same. This stuff is actually marketed as ghillie material, its priced the same as Killer Weed but it ain't died, and is natural color. <span style="font-style: italic"><span...

    Fieldcraft Killer Weed

Re: Killer Weed There's not a bad idea! It corn husks would be just like a giant tamale. This set up works good for river hunting, but If I used it in a field believe me there would be wheat or corn husks added. BTW this is the all-terrain kit, it had the most colors of the Avery Weed kits.

    Fieldcraft Killer Weed

Re: Killer Weed I agree with ya, just add some in to break things up a bit. It should be very effective at tying in vegetation and keeping it there. To keep Killer Weed on my blind I use dark colored or spray painted zip ties that have the excess cut off, you can barely see them. I also...

    Fieldcraft Killer Weed

Re: Killer Weed I thought of another drawback that could happen with this stuff, it is more noisy than burlap jute. But probably no more-so than dried vegetation that you add on the suit. Here is how I have it blended for my local terrain on my Powerhunter.

    Fieldcraft Killer Weed

Re: Killer Weed You may be right about it not lasting, the killer weed seems to thin out over time and I've had to add more to the blind over the years. The reason I was interested in using this stuff was because of its realistic grass-like appearance, and it ties in real nice to webbing...
