    Suppressors NFA Question - Technical

Does anyone know if a destructive device can have any barrel length since its already stamped? Kind of like how on machine guns you can have short barrels without also registering as short barrel rifle for example. Specifically, I am thinking about a Street Sweeper currently with 18" barrel and...

Suppressors Target view at 100 yards engaged with sub 308

It was getting dark, but I thought we'd try to make the vid anyhow. Its a close up of a steel target. Once the person pressing record on the camera is in a pre-determined safe location, I engage the steel with a single shot with a suppressed 308. Round is subsonic hand load and suppressor is...

Suppressors CLEO signature requirement going away!

CLEO Requirement to be Discontinued For enthusiasts of NFA-controlled firearms (e.g., machine guns, short barrel rifles and shotguns, suppressors), the requirement to get the local chief of police or sheriff's approval on the required Form 1 or Form 4 has been a problem. Started at the...

Suppressors Got some work done by Mile High- UPDATED ADD PHOTO

Thought a few members would like to see some work done by Mile High Shooting. I have no affiliation with the group, and this was my first business experience. Stacey with MH did my quotes, all within minuets, and I received regular email updates about the work (which I did not expect and...

Suppressors Got to play with my new Sparrow SS ADDED PHOTOS

Host weapon was Walther .22 and FN 5.7 x 28. I was blown away with the performance. The .22 was unbelievable in comparison to an amphibian and TAC .22 can. The amphibian with its ported barrel was equally as quiet as the Sparrow, but with less first round pop. The amphibian is a top performer...

    Gunsmithing AR flash hider removal

Heated up flash hider to break the loctite, and removed flash hider. Threads look bad like they are stripped some. My plan is to clean them up and run dies over threads. If that doesn't work I guess I will have to get the threads re-cutt. Any ideas or suggestions?

Suppressors Talk me out of SAS 30 titanium QD

I need a 30 can that is light, mag rated, QD (repeatable and minimal shift), full auto (updated: deleted full auto requirement), and I want a fair deal. I will also need barrel threading work, so that plays in to decision also. Money is not the biggest concern. Buy once, cry once...

    Service Rifle Loads

I am just getting started in reloading all due to my new interest in service rifle competition. I have been putting it off as long as I could, but the time came. I have studied all I could, and spent about $1200 on gear/supplies. Last box hit my doorstep yesterday. The threads here have been...

Shots string to the right as barrel warms?

Cold bore shot is zero windage. Each of the next four shots is basically .5 moa further off zero to the right. Once the barrel is warm with 5 shots or so it settles down and the windage stays the same with the new zero needing about 2 moa left. So as you can imagine the first five shots will...

    Kestrel 4000

I am getting large variations in the elevations as indicated by my Kestrel 4000 nv. I inputted the reference pressure from an internet source for my local area so it can adjust its readings per the manual. Wondered if anyone else has a similar observation, or if there might be a more accurate...

Range Report Lack of heavy 300 win mag factory loads

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the lack of factory heavy 300 win mag available. Sure seems strange that you can buy factory 190 gr in 308, and that is also the heaviest 300 mag ammo I have found. If anyone knows of something heavier let me know. I have a rifle that likes...
