That's right!! With my new Frontline Ops scope level we are ready to punch paper at 1,000!!!! Heading to the big range in a couple weeks. I included pics of it. I love the fact that it flips out to the side too. In the pics I also point out the "fine tuning" screws on it which make mounting...
I don't shoot the flat nose but I do shoot with 230 grain berries plated ball bullets. 1.260" coal and 7.8 to 8 grains of accurate #5 works awesome for every single 1911 I have. I do not have a Kimber but I shoot that load through Two Springfield professionals, one Les Baer, one Nighthawk, one...
is that a midlength gas system? Was it a major pain in the ass installing the gas block and/or the gas tube on a monolithic upper?? Last I knew Mega wasnt making the "extended rifle" version of the megalithic so unless i am wrong, its a midlength gas system?
I do agree with this. My 50 was fun to shoot but merely hauling it from my safe to my truck was a chore. Plus, even if you reload the 50 for "match grade accuracy", it is $3 a pop. Just the 750 Hornady Amax bullets are $2 each. My GAP 338 LM is much more accurate and 1/3 of the cost to shoot...
What a fucking douche. Now, To the op. I have a 3 safes full of rifles but my gap 338 lapua is my favorite. It is completely impractical unless you can shoot past 1,000. I can reload for around a buck a piece. So, if you can afford to shoot $1 rounds as much as you want without feeling...
Either 6 or 7. A shorter barrel would likely need to be open more. Right in the range they say is about right in the instructions. Performs flawless after finding the "sweet spot"
Ah yes. You mean to tell me the ammo producers tumble loaded ammo? Then my deal that I experienced first hand must have been in my imagination. Give me your address and I'll send you one of my 50 bmg rounds loaded with 230 gr of powder, Throw it in the tumbler with a bunch of other rounds...
So you tumble loaded ammunition? I'm sorry if I'm reading it wrong. ive actually had a primer blowup by doing this. fortunately it was not charged. I didn't know there was a primer in a case when I tumbled it. So, outside of the danger of tumbling loaded ammunition, I have read where tumbling...
I agree with tumbling twice. Just make sure after tumbling the second time that you looked at all of the flash holes. There will be media stuck in some of them. Poke em out!
I dont know enough about the 6 mm creedmoor to know what it is necked down from but why cant you buy the Hornady Modified Case that the caliber is necksized down from (308? 6.5?) and Neck it down??? If i knew the "parent" case, i am sure i could send you links with a quick google search.
Thanks George. I sent you an email. I read about every article on the 338 Lapua before i chose it as a new caliber to play with. Of course, i never saw these issues until now. Many people are having these issues with the caliber it seems. Just my luck. It could be raining pussies and i...
