    DIY steel targets . . . continued

Re: DIY steel targets . . . continued If you put some lawnmower wheels on the front legs of ALNKAL's design, you can just wheel it out to the range without having to hump it. The back legs should dig in enough to keep the thing from walking away when you hit it.

    Word to the wise

Re: Word to the wise If you go to NIMH rechargable and get in the habit of allows dropping them in the charger, you eliminate the risk of having them leak in your gear over time. The only problem that creates is ..... remembering to put batteries in your gear before you leave.

    Sand Bags why so hard?

Re: Sand Bags why so hard? Try using something like pee gravel or beans to fill them. They don't get packed down as much .... which makes them get hard. I myself don't care much for the airsoft beads since they are really light. But, if you are going to be humping the bag across country...

    Target Backer/Bullet Stopper

Re: Target Backer/Bullet Stopper We had a mobile shooting range when I was stationed in Japan. It was a semi trailer and had a bullet stop in the back that was filled with what appeared to be ground up tires. It worked just fine. But, it was 6 feet thick. It think it had two 3 feet thick...

    shooting mats

Re: shooting mats Can't beat the Midway for the price. It's a little bulky to hump through the woods for hours on end. But, it works great at the range or shooting from a fixed position. The strap that catches the feet of the bipod and allows you to preload your bipod are the best feature.

    Poor Mans Scopes?

Re: Poor Mans Scopes? Redfield is a good scope. Leupold is using one of their better scopes for the redfeild line. They just skip the fancy paint and pretty trim rings. Your actually getting a better scope by buying the redfield than you would buying a Leupold for the same price. But, if...

Re: Pad for kydex cheek riser The adhesive is crazy strong. I tried to remove a torn up piece of that from my boat. Thought the fiberglass was going to come up with it.

New Remington 700 SPS Tactical - Questions Inside

Re: New Remington 700 SPS Tactical - Questions Inside When I went with medium rings, I had my Vortex Viper adjusted all the way down to the stops to get a 100 yard zero. After speaking with the guys at Vortex, they told me to go with the low rings. That brought me up 20 clicks off the...

Bell & Carlson vs. HS Precision

Re: Bell & Carlson vs. HS Precision Deffinitely the B&C Tactical Medalist. I also prefer them over the other "Hollow" stocks. They just feel better to me. And, that is what is most important. That whatever stock you buy feels right. I do have to mention that the palm swell is pretty wide...
