Tikka, If it works why mess with it?

I have a 24in Tikka T3 Tactical that I use sparingly. Sub moa to 1k as long as I do my job and feed it correctly. It's an amazing weapon.I wonder why they quit that barrel. I practice with a Rem 700P to save the Tikka but it's hard to leave it home. Some reviewers didn't care for the stock but...

Advanced Marksmanship bore-center to scope-center measurement - VITAL to long range shooting solutions

Boy am I behind the power curve. I still keep a handwritten logbook on each of my loads based on real testing at the range. I even tape scribbled dope entries to the side of my weapon and cover it with cheap lamination. Probably an embarrassment to all of my fellow digital shooters. I should...

Advanced Marksmanship Tips for off hand shots, PLS.

Anyone here ever use a properly fitted USMC shooting jacket? Do they still make em? One of those plus a correctly adjusted sling made holding an M-1 in offhand pretty easy. The only problem? It was hard to breathe and my feet got tired... you talk the talk...do you walk the walk?

Advanced Marksmanship Shooting off bipod in Deep Snow / Off snow & ice

Interlock (cross) your ski poles using wrist slings and lean em back to get the height you need...works best when sitting or standing. Not as consistent as prone but better than a barrel filled with ice. you talk the talk...do you walk the walk?

Re: RPG Takes Down Chinook 25 SEALS + Dog + SPops GAU-2 gunner on Jolly Green/Pave Low doing pick up and delivery of a lot of those guys during Desert Shield/Storm. They were always happy to get off and even happier when we came in to get em. They might've been banged up but were ultimate...

Lee Enfield Mk 2AI .308 scope mount?

Re: Lee Enfield Mk 2AI .308 scope mount? Thank you all for your assistance...I now have several options to select from. I took the Isha out to the range and had fun but the old right eye is getting weaker and focusing an open sight is a bit harder. Time to scope it and now I can thanks to...

Lee Enfield Mk 2AI .308 scope mount?

Has anyone found a scope mount for one of these "Isha" Enfields? The ATI and SK ones would probably need modification. Mine has the 800m rear sight. I haven't decided on modifications to the stock or an outright replacement yet...the mount may drive this decision. This rifle is adequate to 300...

Re: DTA vs. Savage vs. AI vs. Sako If you want to start with a reasonably priced, well engineered and very accurate .223 or .308 rifle don't overlook the Tikka T3 Tactical. Finnish craftsmanship ( Sako makes the barrels) and all of the features you may want later. Reinforced threaded barrel...

    Tikka T3 TAC

Re: Tikka T3 TAC Thanks for all of the great replies and info. I'm very happy with this rifle. Nailed a coyote from prone at 321 paces across field this past Monday during deer season. Will post pics next. Thank goodness I wasn't planning on keeping the pelt, that Fed .308 turned him inside...

    Tikka T3 TAC

May purchase 7.62 T3 TAC as back up to primary. Haven't had any experience with these rifles. Reviews seem good but those can be misleading. Anything to watch for? Thanks in advance for any advice.
