Sidearms & Scatterguns Where on the web to discuss CCH gear?

I think I am coming around that I need to find a new Summer time carry piece. I just don't see the Bersa as practical for much of what I do, and I realize that if it bothers me too much, I won't carry it. I don't see a spandex belly holster as an option for me because I am in the heat many...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Where on the web to discuss CCH gear?

    1) Very real. I was a sprinter and athlete and my agility is very important to me. I used to run an Uncle Mikes with thumb break. Was perfect for me other than it was not sleek enough to carry. 2) I have considered other locations for carry, but none work without constant adjustment. You...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Where on the web to discuss CCH gear?

Oh boy, hope that is not one of those "our way is the only way" groups? Basically I have been caught off guard recently without my CCH because it is such a PITA. Simply for office types, but I am all over the place. I realize I will have to compromised on "ideal" vs practical to actually...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Where on the web to discuss CCH gear?

Agree, that seems legit. However, that appears to be closed for discussion? I am looking to discuss my needs and come up with a better plan. I am, however, looking to avoid amateur hour and all the jokery around CCH gear that is not practical or reliable.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Where on the web to discuss CCH gear?

I need to optimize my holster/belt situation for different attires. There used to be a concealed carry forum that was more tailored to this, but I guess it's not around anymore. Anyone have input?

Help! Needed, left handed, semi auto tactical rifle, rear mount receiver, CQB, 300AAC, maybe 5.56

Oh, do tell man! Leaving me hanging and literally going to a gun show in an hour! Not that I "need" one right now, but they happen to be having one.

    Will 1:10 .243 stabilize 55 grain rounds?

Separating or fragging is not an aerodynamic stability issue, but I guess to answer the question, the 1:10 should be gold. Personally, I'd want to know wtf on the 1:8 setup. Coming off my engineering background, and not the ballistic values, a concern I would have is trying to spin bullets too...

    Will 1:10 .243 stabilize 55 grain rounds?

Is the whiskey that good tonight or did I miss something? You are concerned of stabilization with a 1:8, but asking if a 1:10 will? That is a bit backwards. Then you mention that the larger grains are ok? That would seem to point to something else, possibly the ammo, whether that is bullet...

Import ambidex semi auto bullpup shotty. There are several.

I am almost excited! I found at least one ambidex pup shotty! To be clear, this one will mostly be a toy so I am cool with import, as long as it is not total crap. ?? The one I found so far is at Black Aces Tactical. Really, just make up any name, put "tactical" on the end, you have a...

Help! Needed, left handed, semi auto tactical rifle, rear mount receiver, CQB, 300AAC, maybe 5.56

To put more details out there, which are still not solidified, I selected the 300AAC because it was designed to be a subsonic round. I want to run it as super and subsonic, both suppressed. I realized any work this toy does will be at 200yds or less, and many times under 100yds. the reason...

Help! Needed, left handed, semi auto tactical rifle, rear mount receiver, CQB, 300AAC, maybe 5.56

I guess to narrow the field, I am trying to find a "budget" bullpup system that I can work with as a lefty. I know every pup has had the same issues come up with lefty shooters. I'd much prefer down ejection, but I can't be throwing 5K at this rifle.

Help! Needed, left handed, semi auto tactical rifle, rear mount receiver, CQB, 300AAC, maybe 5.56

I guess most here are more than familiar.....lol I also was not certain which characteristics they throw in the "bullpup" genre. I was sort of looking at the FN F2000 but I have not seen them in 300AAC. However, that one does solve the lefty issue on ejection. I am very used to operating RH...

Help! Needed, left handed, semi auto tactical rifle, rear mount receiver, CQB, 300AAC, maybe 5.56

LOL! I asked, you delivered... I don't think civilian life is going to permit farm operations with the MP7. To be clear, the MP7 has most of what I want, but that is a complete system, including specialized cartridge, and special 'professional' pricing. I am hoping to find something more...

Help! Needed, left handed, semi auto tactical rifle, rear mount receiver, CQB, 300AAC, maybe 5.56

So.....I need a rifle for a purpose. I was going to build up an AR, but I really want to fight for a lefty rifle! It is SUCH a PITA! I really need a CQB piece that is as short as possible. I am not sure if I want to deal with the drama of a legal SBR, but finding one with a rear mount...

Anyone knowledgeable on FFL manufacturers in these parts?

So ATF visits are pretty much a guarantee? See, that is the other part of the equation that is frustrating. Factoring in hours and potential issues over some paperwork. We also make some military components and all though we take our security way more serious than we have to because we piss...

Rifle Scopes Athlon Argos BTR glass quality? For Savage FCP 308

Thank you guys! I am pretty curious now as to the "levels" of Athlon scopes vs actual glass quality, or other qualities that make them SO much better for the price? I hear things like "the knobs are more crisp"...And while if I was operating, this might be an itch for me, I can probably work...

Anyone knowledgeable on FFL manufacturers in these parts?

So....maybe this has been discussed here before but we are primarily a CNC machine shop/engineering group, and have at least considered an FFL. I think we are a good fit for this industry but it seems that between ALL the red tape, FAET taxes, and saturated markets, this may be a less that...

Suppressors Lets talk about whisper calibers.

I recall having a convo with the founder at Alexander Arms on the Beu 50. He is a sharp guy and had indicated the limitations of the AR15 but his goal was to get the "max" into that platform, and he did. Just have to figure out some options but I do like the .350 Legend idea, or at least ammo...
