Rock River makes one that has 1/4 or 1/2 MOA windage and elevation adjustments and enough travel for 600 yards. You could always get another screw and aperture for your existing one fairly cheap.
Thanks BGE541 for the invite. It was still fun just to go into the Olympic Mtns. Many thanks for helping with target recovery, I would have likely donated it to the mountain until spring. Kevin good job on the hit. Question for the forum, who makes a good set of gloves for shooting in 35 degree...
I would source the BCG first; they can sometimes be tricky to find. The PRS stock is definitely a user preference. I like the adjustable length and the flat bottom so it rides a rear bag. The slope on an A2 style stock I find it faster for changing elevation adjustment using a squeeze sock on...
Be sure and look for a shiny ring about 3/8" to 1/2" above the case head. Machine gun fired brass usually stretches just above case head. Poor mans meathod to set up a sizing die is to take a fired case. Cycle it into the chamber, you should feel resistance. Back off sizing die and screw adjust...
As long as the can is rated for rifle pressures. It was quite common to shoot whisper/blackout thru 9mm cans for a smaller light setup vs a 30 caliber can that was built for 300WM.
I have a 6mmx45 as well. I don't remember the make. Its a 20" 1/8 twist AR-15 barrel. I have only tried up to a 90 gn bullets due to magazine length restrictions. Still working up loads but have shot the following with no pressure signs. 75 Hornady at 2900fps 85 Speer softpoint at 2800...
Looks like I'm going shopping Friday. Now I have to read up on AR Comp, it sounds like it burns a bit faster that RL15, it may make a good substitution for IMR 8208. I ran out of that last week. I may have to postpone range day tomorrow and wait till early next week to try out some loads.
I setup one dummy bullet per projectile type. Due to different bullet shapes where they meet the lands will be different, even if the have the same OAL. The only real use for an OAL length measurement is to clear magazine length limitations. If you load to your very max magazine length you will...
FedCop, I use my rifle to help in sizing the case. Start with a fired case, put it in your rifle and try and close the bolt. Usually if its fired from your rifle it will close on the fired case with some resistance on the bolt handle. I then take a permanent marker and color the neck of the...
Re: AR-10 not ejecting please help...pics Looks like overgas to me. I can't make out the shell deflector that well to see brass marks. The D shaped necks lead me to believe that its ejecting the brass rotates out and wacks the shell deflector hard it enough to bounce back in and get caught up...
Re: wylde vs standard chamber (tight) Sorry got long Not exactly what they are saying. Your bolt is completely locked much like a bolt gun prior to firing. Round fires and case expands to chamber walls. Tight chamber very little movement and great brass like, wylde ( a bit looser) brass moves...
