Best precision rifle available on a budget

What about a Ruger American Hunter? AI mags, Magpul stock, and well within budget... Savage vs. Tikka: I had my Savage FCP-SR out yesterday. It's bone-stock except for a muzzle break, sling, and <$400 Nikon scope. It shoots <1moa all day long with match ammo. The mags are finicky...

Any body see the "MDT/ J Allen" announcement?

This would be super... I've wanted a JAE for a long, long time, but I was put off by the price and (mostly) the wait times.

Anyone have a Savage 110 Storm?

No, but I have a Savage 10 FCP-SR. I like it a lot. For barely $500otd several years ago, there wasn't anything else on the market that came close. Nowadays, I'd look at the Ruger Americans that accept AR or AI magazines... Savage's proprietary magazines stink.

The cheapest of the cheap. What to buy?

Re: Stainless Steel Media Testimonials vdub and Seawalker, it's not the small capacity of the Thumler that puts me off as much as the price. I know that there are bigger rotary tumblers out there (including the Pottery Mills models), but they cost even more. I'm not ALL about bang for...

Re: Stainless Steel Media Testimonials OK, I'm completely sold on this. First, thank you for the responses about the cement mixer. I'm not so worried about it leaking — it'll be easy enough to caulk or plasti-dip the seams. I'm not so worried about the volume of stainless steel media...

Re: Stainless Steel Media Testimonials Hi, I'm new here, but a regular on several other forums. I just read this entire thread (and several) others, and I'm convinced that I want to start cleaning my brass with stainless steel media. I'm hung up on buying a rotary tumbler. I know that...
