I have the 10fcp hs and it shoots lights out. Accurate mag makes a dbm that is a direct replacement for the factory dbm and uses AICS mags. I have their dbm on my 10fcp hs and on the rifle I built for my wife from a walmart model 10 package rifle. Thats not a bad way to go either, you can sell...
Accurate mag makes a bottom metal conversion for the savage 4.4" with side bolt release. It is a drop in replacement for the factory detachable mag bottom metal and uses AI type mags. You can call them for a price. I believe the also ship with a 10 rd mag. IIRC it cost me less for the bottom...
Chad, You are one hell of a stand up guy. I wish more people in your line of work and others had the passion, ethics and business practices that you seem to have. I commend you sir.
I have ordered a 260AI barrel for my Savage 10. I know that when improving a chamber the parent case go gauge becomes the no go gauge and the go is .004 shorter. Midway shows a 308 40* improved go gauge in stock and the 260 improved can be ordered. Will the 308 improved gauge work?
I shot my first match a few weeks ago. I was nervous all day. I started out the first stage was a 100 yd CBS at a ping pong ball. I shot and to my surprise the pp ball was still there. I got off the line and started looking at my gear, I had left 1 mil wind dialed in from the range the week...
Ok, I have the same question as I am currently building a comp gun for my wife to shoot. I had not seen or heard of the RAT grips, but that seems like a really awesome concept. I dont think the rifle will be winning any beauty pageants with those things, but for a practical rifle they seem to be...
The action is going to be a new savage 4.4" if that would help. I have looked at some of the ar style chassis systems, but I think the extra weight would be too much for her to handle. I really want to try to keep the whole rifle loaded under 15 lb. anyone have an idea?
Im building a 260 for my wife who wants to start shooting some matches. She has shot my 308 a few times but she doesnt like the large palm swell. Any ideas on a stock that would not have a large palm swell?
People generally measure their groups with a caliper, tape measure or ruler of some kind. To my knowledge they dont make any of those measuring devices in mils. It is much easier to not have to do the extra math. Example, group size measures 1.00", then you subtract the bullet diameter .308 for...
Has anyone ordered an upper from rock river directly since this crap started? Im trying to get a general idea of a lead time. Im looking at the 20 or 24" varmint a4.
Just remember, different brands, weights etc will effect your zero. One brand of ammo may shoot 3" groups at 100 yd and another brand may shoot 3" groups at 300 yd or more. every time some part of the equation is changed, your zero will change. Buy as many boxes of ammo as possible. Find the one...
Re: Never Satified-itis Did your dad just slap a sierra match king on top of some powder he had laying around, or did you do any load development? I did this when i got my new savage 308. It would shoot .6" groups all day long. I was satisfied with that for a while since it was a factory...
