Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
If you have a little red "cart" that you use to truck your rifle and associated crap to the line, that's Gamer. Lol.....The matches I shoot- we walk between stations- miles if you shoot the whole course- and there is no pavement or mowed shooting greens in sight. You CARRY whatever you are going...
They do hire Grand Masters etc...Why? Because when you are at that level of performance- SF, Delta etc...the TINIEST of things can be an advantage. That doesn't mean that they use ALL of the Gamer techniques on the battlefield, it might be something as simple as a slight grip adjustment- that...
RR ties down range are not a great idea though there are ways to mitigate any issues they pose.... They can contribute to ricochets. In general, anything hard -landscape timbers, gravel/rock, RR Ties etc...is to be avoided as part of the impact area. NRA Spec (From the Range Manual) is a 20'...
For years I've shot the Sporting Rifle Match at Whittington in Raton. Recently I attended my first NRL match- I was the ONLY GUY there with a sling on his rifle. Very eye opening- my focus has always been on practical, useful field marksmanship....Don't think I'll go back to the NRL event even...
I took one of their basic courses several years ago. Thinking about taking this course. Has anyone taken the class and what are the general parameters? The course description is somewhat skimpy.....

Re: How are the Ruger 77/22's? I have a .22LR laminate stainless. Mine is the old style with the V block lockup, it's my understanding that current production guns have the barrel threaded into the receiver. This was supposedly done to make them more accurate, I dunno. My gun is not terribly...
Re: Savage FV-SR question I've had my FVSR for about a month now. It will hold MOA- 5 shots- with Wolf MT. I ditched the factory stock and put mine in a Boyds laminate sporter stock- I chose the one that's kinda like an M40. I used new bottom metal from DIP. With some adjustment to the...
Re: Savage FV-SR question I just dug into my AR parts and stuck a takeoff A2 on it for now. Maybe I'll find something "cooler" in the future but for now it protects the threads and looks ok.

Re: Best material to make gongs out of? I have a rimfire only range with about 40 targets on it. We use Rail Road tie plates- get them for free- cheap is good. You could leave them lying on the ground until you went shooting, if someone found/stole them, no big deal. They ring pretty well-...
Re: Holster for Browning Buckmark? I'm not aware of any specifically for the Buckmark. There was some talk that Black Dog was going to make their holster for the Buckmark, it's an excellent holster. I have a pair of them for my Ruger MK II's, closest thing to a "carry" holster I've seen for...
Re: Remington MSR Thanks for that link to the other thread. I dunno why my search did not turn it up. In any event it looks like a heck of a new rifle. It will be interesting to see how it's priced.....interesting maybe not the right word...painful? Hopefully not.
Re: Remington MSR I've seen the Remington published data and ad I was just wondering if someone here had actually laid hands on one. When I said I had searched the site I meant this site. Remington has a nice little blurb on their Mil arms site.
I just saw some information about this. Does anybody know much about the rifle other than the Rem. site published info? Anybody had a "field day"- S.A.R show encounter or similar with it? I did search the site first, found nothing.
