Your fine, I trim all mine to 2.000" with absolutely no ill effects. I can't imagine 2 hundredths of an inch making it unsafe.

It used to be way cheaper but if you don't have the time or inclination to do all the work I think its still the way to go. I just load them up out of the box and go. I've been able to get sub moa groups pretty easily with this brass with no extra work.

You'll be just fine with magnum primers since your starting your load work up. The only thing you can't do with magnum primers is substitute them for standard primers with an existing load. Just remember when you change any component always start low and work your way up and you'll be just fine.

I finally ordered one after months of deliberation. This will be my first chrono, so I'm pretty excited. I will definitely be trying with and without the bayo attached for OCW load development.

I have been trying to find a pound of the 2000MR to try out but no luck yet. I've heard nothing but good things about it though. Increased velocity and only slightly more temp sensitive than varget.

Has anyone done an identical OCW with and without the magntospeed to see if the results are affected by the bayo being attached? Obviously you will have a POI shift with it attached but I dont necessarily think that would skew an OCW. I sure would be nice to do an OWC with it attached.

George Gardner from GAP is said to use RL-25 is his 243 WIN with 115 moly DTACS. My buddy used it as we'll with great results. Supposed to be able to get you to 3,000 fps plus. I use H-1000 personally.

Heck, my rifle makes primers look like that with any load I try no matter where I am within the min/max range. This is the only bolt rifle I own though so I'm not sure if this is common or not.

I have both and time and time again I reach for the collet puller even if I'm just pulling one. Something about the hammer just makes me nervous.

That's about what I was thinking. I've never used a chronograph before and always had good results with my OCW so I suppose there's no need to complicate the situation and factor in velocity. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of the OCW to factor in velocity.

I am very interested in getting one of these but was hoping someone could chime in on how using one would affect the results of an OCW test to work up a new load? I understand that the Magneto Speed affects POI but this aspect is a non-issue in my mind. What concerns me is, having the unit...
