Reset the data and ran it again in 5yds, you were very close: I got 205, 270, 335 and 400 for the 125gr OTM. So, it only varied on the first dot 5 yards. Thanks for getting me straight on how to use JBM, I plan to check my other cards with this as well. BA
Thanks guys, the data I entered is chornographed and accurate, I know how to collect data just not so good at using it I guess..... Bullet is 125 gr .308 OTM.338 BC, 2200.7 FPS, sight height 2.65" center of bore to center of scope tube, temp was 54 degrees. This was the first time I used JBM...
I attempted to work the caculations to figure out the CQ reticle conversions for myBurris MTAC 1-4X myself only confused myself further. Here is the ballistic data from JBM: Range Drop Drop Windage Windage Velocity Mach Energy Time Lead Lead (yd) (in) (Col 2) (in) (Col 2) (ft/s) (none)...
Ahh, missed that on the website. Will do on the calculator. As far as the load used, it will be a 110Vmax at 2375, a 115OTM at 2300 or a 125 BT or OTM at 2200. Have to finish break in and see what she likes. Regardless, for hunting it will be the Vmax. Thanks. BA
Did a search, found nothing, not sure if this is the best place to ask but here goes. Anyway, picked up a Rem/AAC Model 7 in 300Blk with a 20MOA picatinny rail. Have a Burris MTac 1-4 30mm tube scope with the CQ reticle. My question is this, has anyone worked out or know of someone who has...
Re: SIG 556 I have a SIG 556 and run it with 55gr ball ammo and its a solid shooter. The trigger is different (not bad, not good, just feels different than a good AR trigger) and its reasonably accurate. I did not like the diopeter sight, so I mounted an EoTech. The other poster is correct...
Re: Thoughts on new aquisition Thanks bro, I plan to work on some handloads this fall after archery tournament season warps up for 2012. Will give some 40gr V-Max's a try, In checked the twist and its 1" in 12" so I figure they should be solid pills. Yes, I think I cleaned up witn this...
Re: Thoughts on new aquisition Range Report: Ok, so I took the 700 to the range and did some testing, conditions were about 40 deg, sunny with a 5 mph breeze. The rifle was throughly cleaned prior to shooting, no copper fouling whatsoever was evident. The Vari-X III 6.5-20X40 was set at...
Re: Thoughts on new aquisition This place is a gun shop not a pawn shop. What I think may have happened is this: They are a high volume shop, near a medium sized city, lots of novice customers and lots of novice guys working in the shop with lots of employee turnover. I think what may have...
Re: Thoughts on new aquisition An update on the 700, I plugged the bore and thourougly cleaned the rifle, removed it from the stock and found a nice Timney Trigger and bedding job. Put it back together and will get it to the range soon and will post up some results. I will have to see if I...
Just picked up a new rig on a impulse buy. Was at the local gun shop and saw a HB bolt gun. Took a look and it was a Rem700 VLS varmint in .223 with the tube shortened to 21" and target crowned riding in a heavy laminated stock. The trigger has been done (well) and looks/feels like the bolt has...

Re: Trigger Reccomendatiion Thanks for everybodys suggestions, in the end I focused on RRA, Giselle and Timney and ended up ordering a Timney. Main reason is simply that I have had several of them on bolt guns and been very happy and the modular drop in design of the unit. They also have very...
Gents, Please reccomend am AR upgrade trigger that you have personally used. I have a Bushmaster XM-15A3ES 20" bbl rifle with a Nikon M-223 3-12X40 scope mounted. The rifle is a 1.5 moa shooter benched at 100 yds with UMC223 55gr cheap stuff. That said, I am really feel I am fighting the...
Re: Smith&Wesson Sport AR15 Yes, I suspected as much and did in fact attempt to seperate them to use the larger apeture, however it would not move and I felt that had I pushed harder I would have broken the sight. Could be that I have a defective rear sight, I shoot well with it as is, but at...
Re: Smith&Wesson Sport AR15 I have one and my thoughts are as follows- -The weapon is very light weight and reliable. -The fit and finish is very nice, much better than I expected. -The T/C designed gain twist rifling is not a new idea (the carcano and other rifles had this long ago)...
Re: Nikon buckmaster 4-14 with a bdc reticule No problem Remsen, this is the first time I have had an answer for anybody on this site, some pretty savvy dudes here. I am usually the guy asking questions. Just trying to give back a little and this system is something I actually know pretty...
Re: Nikon buckmaster 4-14 with a bdc reticule To the Op's question: I have 2 od the 4.5-14X40 scopes one mildot one BDC and a 6-18X40 with the BDC. I have been working with them alot this year. They are in my opinion as good as it gets in the price range and I would pay more considering thier...
