One rifle and only one rifle

Man!!!! it Has to be a Desert tactical arms rifle. they come with a switch barrel. So its like two in one. I would get the barrels in 6.5x47 Lapua and the other in .338 Lapua. this would make an okay rifle for almost anything I can think of. And it would be topped with a Schmidt..... PMIII.

    .30-06 rifle build, input appreciated

I have to agree... I see no reason to build a 30-06. But I just don't like the round. We have to many better choices out there in MHO.. I like the 6.5s and 7mm for long range stuff. I think if you are going to get any benefit out of a 30cal.... Go big or go home. 300 win mag or short mag...

    New 6.5 cartridge?

I have seen a 6.5 STW. Now if you want something that is fast and needs anew barrel as soon as you get a good load worked up then that's the 6.5 round for you. But the problem "I've heard" anyway............. with the 6.5 phag is if you go that route your always going to be working up a load!!!!

    savage target action

I noticed the target action didn't have a barrel nut..... so you cant set the barrel yourself.....hmmmm.. if you are going to have to take it to a gunsmith to have it built then why not go with Surgeon, Bighorn or Stiller???? So you can use Badger bottom metal?

Re: Latest 6.5 wildcat I shoot the 6.5x47 and I have my original 200 rounds I bought with it. They are on there 14th load and I haven't had to trim. I am not shootin hot loads though. I'm pushing 130 vld @2850 with 40.4 of 4350. I guess my point is I spent $200 dollars on brass that I'm...
