Re: Sako and tikka 595 barrel tenon threads In case anyone else is wondering, the TRG has a metric pitch and the 595 has an imperial pitch. The metric pitch has enough meat that it can be turned down and rethreaded for the 595. Had to try it, hope it runs well.

Re: Best Budget 22lr The Savage TR will suit you well. I've shot my Mk2 BV in a TR stock out to 300. At 100 and 200 its simple and great practice. Savage is the best value hands down these days- it's one of few rimfires I've hung onto, and I've let Vostoks and Anschutz's out the door.

I'm contemplating rebarreling my T3 sporter with a 30" barrel. Has anyone run into issues hanging a long barrel out of a T3 action? From manufacturing logic, the tenons of the Sako's and Tikka's *should* all be similar, which would yield enough meat to support a long barrel, but just looking at...
