To answer the ops question I'm personally looking at getting 1 of the HSGI belts with a cobra buckle. Not done loads of research on plate carriers as my issued carrier is alright, the most popular I've probably seen is the crye precision JPC.

I had a 6.5x47 AE and used CCI BR4 and never had an issue. If you went 260 or 6.5 Creedmoor you'd be able to use larger primer cases and wouldn't have to worry.

Anyone put an APA gen 2 brake on a factory threaded M18x1.5 barrel? I would like to know if it completely hides the spigot, any pics would be great!
