Re: Excersizing with firearms I've done isometrics with my MIA SOCOM and sometimes when I do insanity workouts I will do it with my AR. I'll modify the workouts to incorporate it. I'm currently getting ready for Warrant Officer Candidate School so I know there will be a lot of holding...
Re: My first Thank you! Now I'm trying to find a good course to get a solid foundation. I have a lot of experience with submachine guns and carbines but my true interests have always been in long range precision shooting. I've already got a good stock pile of 175gr. FGMM going I should also...
Re: Hosting British Scouts at our Range That's really cool. I was a boy scout when I was young but I always grew up shooting. I think it's really cool that they will be able to get to see how much fun shooting some "scary black rifles" will be. Sorry I don't have anything constructive for...
Re: recommended communications gear I've been studying for my HAM radio license. It's actually not difficult stuff to grasp, they just want to make sure you know the rules for the use of a HAM radio. You can pick up good quality hand helds for $1-200.00. You'd be surprised at how flexible...
Re: Any Duck Hunters? I used to hunt ducks and geese at Ft. Belvoir, VA. They have a great outdoor recreation program there. The Potomac River runs through the post and they have duck blinds (nice ones too) all up and down the river. You just show up and sign one out. Need a boat? They got...
Re: Any other vets have this problem? Man, reading your post made me angry! If you can't record the events at least document it on paper with dates and times to refresh your memory. Talk to an attorny, file with HR, hostile work enviroment? It's not worth it in the long run to kick all...
Re: AK or a Howa....at a crossroads. I've heard great things about Howa rifles. Matter of fact.. I recall seeing nice "Ranch" models on gunbroker that were camo, had a hogue stock and came with a scope for pretty cheap..
Re: AK or a Howa....at a crossroads. for $500-$700 you could get a S&W M&P Sport in 5.56mm/.223 which would give you a multitude of options for accessories down the line, affordable ammo, and is easily in the 300-400 yd range. If you do go with an AK for whatever reason, I'd go with the...
Re: Finally a PIG!!! :D Man that is awesome! Really exciting to see. I've been doing a lot of research on pig hunting. I recently moved to the Sacramento area.. Where were you hunting?
I just got my rifle back from having it duracoated and I lost the little screws for the scope mount that go into the top of the receiver. Can someone direct me to the best place to get new ones? Also, standard screws should still work with a 20MOA rail right? Thank you.
Re: DBM- Inlet vs full install It took about a month to get my rifle back. Sent out on Jan 27th and received it back on March 11th. Figure a week on each end for delivery.. Good person to deal with but make sure you keep in contact with him.
Re: DBM- Inlet vs full install I just got my rifle back from CDI Precision in FL. $125.00 for a complete install, I believe he quoted me $60 if I wanted to just send in the stock but contact them if you're interested. I will say this though... Great work, great person to deal with but the...
Re: Nor Cal shooters? I know there's a place in Sac (never been) that has a range that goes out to 1000yds. I believe it's a private range but I want to say that it's open to the public the first saturday of the month? I could be wrong.. I'll see if I can find the website again..
