I use a 20 MOA base done by EGW. It was hard to find on their site, and wasnt clear if it was intended for an actual pre-64 or the new classic "pre-64" model FN uses today. Call them up and they will get you squared away. It fits and works great. That said, if I wouldve known Mr Dixon made a...
Be careful with ordering the Near base. They list a model for the pre-64 but I got two separate bases from them that would not fit my pre-64 action. They may have remedied this now, not sure.
I had a custom knob installed on my pre-64 and it comes close to the scope (nightforce atacr) but maintains plenty of clearance to operate. I think the extra length acquired from the custom knob helps my situation...the rifle was worked over prior to shooting it with the night force so I don't...
Did you get it from Robert Whitley? I was under the impression that he didnt offer parts, only full builds? I would love to sell my krieger 6.5 grendel barrel if I could try a 6mmAR.
And instead of Santa, you get the UPS man. :) Great minds must think alike...I have an AR15 in 6.5 Grendel with a Krieger heavy barrel chambered by Mark Gordon.
I've got a rifle done by Wild Call aka Mike Bush aka BlackOps Precision. I tell everyone it's a BlackOps rifle because frankly, I had no idea Wild Call existed until the day I received my completed rifle back from Mike. I sent him a 1957 pre-64 winny action for a complete makeover. Bartlein...
I already know I have an astigmatism, but only because the optometrist told me. I've never experienced the affects of it until now. Through my left eye everything looks normal. Through the right eye, there is gray where it should be white and all the lines are different lengths and I see...
This isnt a scientific explanation, but I had an ADM mount that wouldn't hold zero very well and wouldn't return to "zero" either. Had a NF 2.5-10 on it and switched to another mount...problem solved. They may work for some, but didn't for me. YMMV
Ive got a LnL progressive as well and would not use it to load precision rifle ammo. At least on mine, I do not find it to be as accurate as I would like.
