.308 - 7.62 brass at Berry's http://www.berrysmfg.com/product-i14896-c6-g8-b0-p0-308_762x51_Pulled_Primed_Brass_500ct.aspx Picked some up the other day - great stuff at a great price for these days......
Re: Anybody pushing 230 Bergers out of there Rum? I'm shooting the 230 Hybrids out my RUM - 87 gr of H1k @ 3060fps, es of 3 fps, shoots .25 MOA all day.
Re: my new action I would consider a .300 RUM before the 30-378 or the .300 Norma Mag for lots of reasons. Another great wildcat out there is a 30-375 Ruger. Shorter cases do not always translate into more efficient...
Re: Accuracy problems after fluting Roger...I've watched my smith flute and I've fluted a few myself - it is done very slowly so the barrel never heats up...I guess this is the right method for the Button-rifled barrel.
Re: Accuracy problems after fluting Brux Barrels says "You cannot flute a button rifle barrel after it has been made, there is no question about that". I have to question that statement - why does my current Shilen, button rifled, 8 flute barrel shoot sub 1/4" MOA from 100m to 1K? I have...
Re: Sako M591 any opinions? I owned one a few years ago - had it barrled in 25-284 for the first few years I had it, burned out the barrel, re-barreled to 300 WSM. I sold the rifle to a friend that could not live without it, I regret that decision. My opinion is that the M591 is one of the...
Re: 375-338 Lapua Improved Not to throw a wrench in your spokes, but have you considered a 375-416 Rigby? Same bolt face as the LM with more case capacity...
Re: .223/5.56 for F T/R class? What length of barrel and twist rate were you running the 90's in? N150 seems to be a favorite with the .223 F T/R shooters. Not having seen it before, what kind of powder is it, round, flake, cylinder?
Re: .223/5.56 for F T/R class? I hear you loud and clear! I'm going to run this to ground and see what shakes out - I have a suspicion that Berger is going to tell me that very same thing!
Re: .223/5.56 for F T/R class? Thanks for the info - I'm really interested in shooting the 1k, and I'm always up for a challenge. I'm going to call Berger tomorrow and see what they reccomend for barrel twist for their 90's and 80's. I'm very familiar with hand loading so I think I can work...

Re: .223/5.56 for F T/R class? Nice rifle - is that what they call a "tube gun"? From what I've read so far the .223 can compete - I wonder what the pro's and con's are - the .308 with 185 to 210 Bergers would be more up my alley, but the .223 makes me curious. I have an M4 (a true M4 14"...
