    Re: PVS14 which optic is preferred? Nightowl makes a good monocular, they all pretty much have the same ir threshold, just make sure its compatible with certain.mounts to mount in front of.the.scope and on a harness or helmet, you'll see that the mounts is going to be your biggest issue.

    Re: "budget" thermal feedback With thermals in open Terrain you can id animals out to a grand depending on size, I used a recon 3 made by flir and id'ed a small animal over 1200m.

    Re: How much will Elevation Effect Zero? You shooting true yards or Meters? That elevation drop will not effect your 100M POI. How are you determining range? Range finder in Yards? And what BDC do you have?

    Re: Opinions on a 16 inch spr? That barrel you have will optimize with some 75gr Hornady, try it and see how your gun groups at a true 100M. Your 25M isn't really giving you a true MOA read because there are other variables including your optics that can true out your true MOA on your gun...

    Re: Sling attachment point for AR-15- gas block/barrel Run a two point off the rail closer to the rear of the gun, and the rear of the sling on a Magpul Buttstock, You should have QD attachments both front and rear. VTAC padded slings work best.

    Re: Sniper loadout ?'s Check out TYR tactical for Harnesses, full Sniper rigs. Elberlestock makes good gun and kit bag that can load out all your required kit, and they make rifle sleeves so you can bag out the gun as well.

    Re: .308 Bolt Guns. To win a military comp. Not a big abuser of long guns, but not a end user of any fiberglass stocks for military applications, not against it, just never used it. I'll look into it. Just sold a Mcrees stock and liked the quality of build. Have to check out the TRG.
