    Maggie’s Homebrew

Re: Homebrew Just popped open my first bottle of Witbier from northern brewers. It was an extract kit. Just boil water, throw in the ingredients, and pour it in the fermenter. 2 weeks in the primary, 1 week in the secondary, and 1 week conditioning in the bottle. I looked at the Mr.beer...

Sidearms & Scatterguns NIB HK P7M8 "1 Von 500" value

Re: NIB HK P7M8 "1 Von 500" value Thank you for the links. They were very informative. I think that I will have to hang on to this one. I hate not shooting as I feel that they all are meant to be shot. I guess that is the difficult part about collecting.

Sidearms & Scatterguns NIB HK P7M8 "1 Von 500" value

I recently came across an HK P7M8 and I was wondering if anyone knew much about the value of these pistols. It comes in a display case with a 25th anniversary coin and has "1 von 500" written on the slide. Thanks in advance

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Best 1911 under $1,000.00; under $750.00 ??

Re: Best 1911 under $1,000.00; under $750.00 ?? +1 as well on STI. I have the STI Spartan and the slide looks and feels like it was custom fit to the frame. Excellent accuracy and can report that I never had a failure to feed or fire.

Rifle Scopes US Optics RDP reticle

Re: US Optics RDP reticle I am very pleased with the brand. I was pretty big into night force before I got my first us optic scope. The tracking on these things are rock solid and you can really get the 3.2-17x44 down low on your rifle.

Rifle Scopes US Optics RDP reticle

Re: US Optics RDP reticle I have the rdp reticle and love everything about it except using the Horizontal hashes for holding wind. For people that make turret adjustments for wind, this should not be a problem. The pros: the reticle is fine enough at high magnification for aiming at...

Rifle Scopes Us optics sn3 Tpal

Re: Us optics sn3 Tpal This is my 100th post so I will try to make it epic. So far I have jumped into us optics head first and now have a collection of these sn-3's. I have mil/moa, moa/moa and iphy/iphy. All but 1 are 3.2-17. The other one is 3.8-22. I have a friend that shoots mil/mil...

Rifle Scopes Scope caps touching barrel...

Re: Scope caps touching barrel... I have seen the future weapons video of the Barrett bmg barrel flexing and was wondering if you will have the same barrel harmonics with a bolt action. Could the barrel flex and make contact with the scope even if there is a slight air gap?

Rifle Scopes Leupold Mk 4 Vs. Nightforce

Re: Leupold Mk 4 Vs. Nightforce The biggest difference I can tell is in the positive clicks of the turrets on the nightforce.

    6.5x55 why not???

Re: 6.5x55 why not??? I recently started shooting a Remington action 6.5x55 and find it far more enjoyable to shoot than my .308's. The recoil is less and the ballistics are better. What is not to love. The only way I would go with the 260 would be if I had to go short action.

Rifle Scopes S&B vs. USO vs. Premier Reticles ?

Re: S&B vs. USO vs. Premier Reticles ? I own several USO scopes and have shot them side by side with premier and S&B. It might be the 44mm objective on the USO compared to 56mm of the others, but I would rate the Schmidt and Premier as having better glass.

    Opinions on Rem 700 triggers.

Re: Opinions on Rem 700 triggers. Boltgunlvr, On a shoestring budget, I would buy a tuned stock older trigger. I have a timney, Jewell, and several old 40 x triggers. The Jewell trigger is amazing as can be expected. I was able to adjust the 40x triggers to the point where most people could...

    Got my new TRG!!!

Re: Got my new TRG!!! Great looking rifle. I heard that the 260's were impossible to get now. You must be one of the lucky ones. I am not sure about the narrow stance bipod. I have the wide stance bipod and it locks up nice and tight once you load into it. Does yours lock up when loaded?
