I have contacted Ed Wilcox and this is beyond his abilities/experience. There is a lot more to repairing night vision than replacing the battery housing on a PVS-14.
I have an OSTI PVS-27 with quit a bit of vertical boresight error-About 10 MOA. Does anyone have experience with FLIR servicing these scopes or have any insight? Thanks Dave PS I do optical repair but I am not about to dig into a clip on without a little information.

You can buy a Pvs-4 or a Litton m845 for about $800 and do everything that a much more expensive setup costs albeit with a little more weight. I think the pvs-4 has killed more things than anything else.
Normally I would disagree with you but upon further thought I realized that the PAS23 is different in one respect from many thermal scopes. The PAS23 microbolometer (FPA) is mounted in a DIP socket instead of soldered. It would shake loose after a while. I have rebuilt dozens of night scopes...
