Kinda depends on budget as well, you can get I Harris 6-9" SBRM for about $120 give or take or an Atlas for a pic rail for like $250 and one for a AICS spigot mount for $300. These prices for the Atlas may have changed since I got mine. I have shot both prone and I would say both have their...
Just sighted it in and did the break in with the 175 FGMM with some pretty nice accuracy. For sure sub-moa. Sorry no pics wasnt shooting at my normal place so I couldnt retrieve targets. I will get some targets with groups with some FGMM and Hornady Black 168 gr AMAX first.
So I haven't been on SH in probably 2 years to be honest due to not being able to do much shooting due to many reasons, health being part of this issue. I bought the Bergara B-14 HMR .308 threw a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 and a Harris bipod on it now trying to figure out what factory ammo to try...
Theres nothing wrong with remy brass, I use it with 43.5 gr H4350 wolf/tula primers propelling a 142 SMK and shoot the best groups I have personally ever shot.
I have to disagree slightly with the guys trying to vouche for millet, while they are now made by Bushnell I have had experience with 3 of the LRS 5-25 35 mm's, one is my friends that has major issues with the turrets(skipping jumping clicks) or incorrect mil clicks another words says .1 clicks...
As others said they are very flimsy, the AAC SD was the first bolt action I ever owned so I shot it stock quite a bit before upgrading. As long as you arent putting pressure on the bipod area of the stock your good otherwise the stock touches the barrel causing accuracy fluctuations. I would...
Re: RCBS Chargemaster combo - Warranty issue Well one thing I have noticed about the RCBS chargemaster is it runs much more consistant if you leave it on for 30 min or so and let the insides get warm(read it somewhere). After that I get very consistant readings.
Re: Savage 10 with new AICS 2.0(Thanks to MHS) Daltexmex, SWFA has been good to me between me and a buddy we have about 10 or so SWFA SS's 5-20's and 3-9's any issues we have we just send it back and they replace it very quickly, for the money I go with the SWFA 5-20 non illuminated(1300)...
AICS 2.0 and Atlas Bipod from Mile High, and Dark Eagle Customs(Dan) fixed me up with the bolt knob and fluting. Was formerly a Savage 10 FCP-LE McMillan, since I shot the factory barrel out, I rebarreled it with a pre-fit Shilen S7 1-10" .308, put some SWFA glass on with some Seekins rings and...
Re: Savage Model 10 AICS Chassis Now At MHSA! Heres a pic of my former Savage 10 FCP-LE McMillan: AICS 2.0 Chassis and Atlas Bipod courtesy of MHS. Thanks again.
Re: Savage Model 10 AICS Chassis Now At MHSA! Got mine yesterday fits good, but does require a little fitting being I have the Rifle Basix trigger on mine. Otherwise I cant wait to shoot this sweet setup.
Re: Savage Model 10 AICS Chassis Now At MHSA! In the pic it shows a slot for the side release LS1, got mine on order today with another Atlas thanks to MHS.

Re: custom badass bolt if im not mistaking he was showing them off a few monthes ago and he said A: he either removed the internals of the primer or B: soaks them in oil before install. They look pretty nice and different then your average badger.
Re: houston area? not that I have seen there are only a couple places here that do F class shoots. Havent seen anywhere that does any Tac shoots in the Houston area. check out Bayou rifle club for the competitions they have 200 , 300 , 600 , 1000 yd shoots quite often. If im not mistaking...
