I think it would be nice. I've seen a few tactical lever guns, some really nice, some not so much. I think it'd be need to see what could be done with or is already done but no one shared it with the marlin 308 and 338 express.
I have a savage model 11 in 243 that shoots pretty good for factory. Once I shoot the barrel out I'll upgrade. When I got it there was almost nothing I could get for it due to it being a drop box magazine, now more and more options availible. I went this route vs the Rem 700 just because...
2T2X1, Air Transportation. Loading the cargo planes with cargo, and anything you see at a normal airport(except maintenance, control tower, and parking the planes) we do bags, checkin, TSA functions, and alot of other stuff. Like I said early, this is what I figure, but I thought it would be a...
I know what you mean about that. I've been at my currently base for almsot 4 years. My two previous bases were two of the buiest bases for my job, 5 or 6 das aweek 12-14 hour days. Section I worked I was towards the top of the food chain. Now at my current base I"m chop liver, most guys have...
Thanks everyone for their suggestions. They are appreciated and helpful, hopefully not only to myself but maybe someone help thinking about law enforcement. I full expect long days, after 11 years active duty, long 12-14 hour days are nothing new to me. I also know and expect that each...
Jealous, I've always wanted to live out there for some reason. Get a nice little cabin and nice spread of land. Often thought of purchasing some land and building on it once I retire and just let it site there until that time.
Thanks for the input guys. The PD I'm currently looking at has what I believe to be a part time SWAT team. There schedule is 10 hour days 4 on 3 off, I expect it's probably closer to 11 maybe 12 hours. I've been on 12 hour shifts 5 days week most of the last 11 years so long hours are nothing...
I currently have 16 months left on my current enlistment, that will put me at 12 years. I am very seriously considering going reserve, and becoming a cop full time. There is a possibility I could enlist for 3 more years but that would put me at high year ten year(15 years) if I don't make...
With the limited a availability of ammo and the time of shooting and looking for supplies along with cost I'm giving my guns a break. Not to mention I'm trying to get orders overseas and won't be able to take them with me. I'm looking for long term storage suggestions. I have soft cases for my...
Re: first rem 700 many choices plz help me, long read chase- thanks maybe i'll take a little closer look at the .308. I don't currently reload, but after this next rifle purchase I will be saving for reloading equipment. In the mean time I have a friend who said he would teach me I just...
Re: first rem 700 many choices plz help me, long read Thanks for the info and advice. After doing a little more looking and some more research on the 30.06 (I've done alot, almost bought one before), I think I will go that route. While don't have any intentions of competing anytime in the...
I had never considered the Rem 700 until last night, not sure whey just didn't. I know they have many choice and I have it narrowed down a bit and could use some input. I know the tactical version is popular but not the direction I want to go. Below is a run list of what I think the most needed...
Re: Smith & Wesson I Bolt in 30.06, feedback requested thanks for the info guys, still not sure i will get it, i should probably practice this thing called patience my wife keeps telling me about, and just save for the model 70 in a 30.06
Re: New Colt Rail Gun! very nice, i was looking at these, but out of my league at this point. not sure how i feel about the rail, but man that is sweet pistol that's for sure
Ok I know this isn't the typical precision rifle or caliber but I saw one brand new a pawn shop. Tag on it is dated March 2002, I believe it is brand new with a tag of $450 but if it's actually been there since 2002 I'm sure they will come down, they are a little cheaper on gunbroker. I've...
Re: Mauser dated 1890 @Pawn shop $100 worth it ok well here is some pics i was able to snap, sorta crunched for time leaving for vacation in the morning, haven't had time to clean it up, but just to get some ideas of what i've got here. with the markings on the rear site i'm...
Re: Cerakote Nagant (pic heavy) very nicely done, i dug mine out of the closet today and shot it, now i'm thinking of trying to put some time and effort into it, and seeing yours defiantly makes me want to spend some time on it
Re: Mauser dated 1890 @Pawn shop $100 worth it Well I picked it up ask a few guys about it while at the range they all thought it was a steal at $100. They thought it was an 8mm Mauser, but suggested to have a good smith look it over and check the head spacing for safety. Ill try to get some...
