Re: 1911 dilemma... springfield vs kimber I have had a Kimber Custom II and currently own a Springfield Operator. I had a lot of feeding problems with the Kimber so I got rid of it. I have had no issues with the operator and it loves hollowpoints.
I have been searching for a closed top double magazine pouch that fits 2 10rd 1911 mags. Does anyone know where I can find one of these. I am not interested in a quad pouch. Thanks

Re: Springfield Operator Hammer Problem The mechanic- cylinder and slide is the company name for the hammer, sear, and disconnect. Not even close to buying a whole new gun, but I will let you know how the parts fit once installed.

Re: Karstens cheek piece The drill press will make it pretty easy to do. I wouldn't worry about it because mine turned out real nice and I did mine with a hand drill. just make sure it's nice and level, and that the bolt can open with where you decide to install it.
