I used a Sierra 110 grain pro hunter and 24.5 grains of H4198 with an OAL of 2.255. This was the first elk I killed with a 6.8 and I was very impressed. Bullet entered the back of the lung on the facing side and exited all the way through out the far shoulder destroying both lungs.
I have never been big into pursuing yotes. I shoot them when I see them but haven't ever gone after em. Haven't seen any this year when I had a gun in hand.

Oops, my bad, that was a mistake. I am shooting 46.5 gr varget, not 36.5.haha. And yes, it is a compressed load. When I made the load I started at min and loaded 5 rounds working up in .5 grain increments until I started getting pressure signs and it liked 46.5 best. Thanks for the info. I will...
