Optics "Liberty Optics and Snipers Hide, Always a Great Match"

Also received my xtr3i today. Haven’t had time to look at it yet. Hoping to get to the range this week or next where I can compare it to a G2 razor and Ares ETR. Thanks for the great deal Scott

Facing an AR receiver. Does it matter?

Thanks for sharing your results, I look forward to seeing the final outcome. Will you be using one of the various lapping tools (like this one) or turning it on a lathe/mill?

XTR III Illuminated in my hands

That is the same spec that was quoted when the non illuminated version was only one available. Supposedly the illuminated is thicker but I don’t think Burris has stated that officially. So perhaps that spec is outdated or perhaps the reticle is the same thickness as the first version of the scope.

Rifle Scopes Alternatives to GLX in $750 range?

Cameralandny has a sale on the burris XTR3 non-illuminated version. $1000 for the 3.3-18x version with either the SCR or SCR2 reticles. FOV on this scope at 3.3x mag is actually larger than at 2.5x on the GLx (37.7' vs 35.8' @100yds) so the higher minimum magnification should not be a concern...

    Rifle Scopes Burris XTR3!!!

These are now listed on the burris website. Link for the 3-18: https://www.burrisoptics.com/scopes/xtr-iii/xtr-iii-illuminated-3.3-18x50mm MSRP is ~ $550 less than the non illuminated version, supposedly in stores March of 2022. @gr8fuldoug will you be getting these in March?

    Rifle Scopes Burris XTR3!!!

Seems like a great value. I was “in” even at an expected price increase of 1-2 hundred for illum. Should be a pretty easy sell with a price decrease, excited to compare with my g2 razor.

Not directly from Burris but a vendor here on the Hide has said that the MAP on the XTR3i will be 1200 for the 3.3-18 & 1400 for the 5.5-30
