I don't know what specific style the rifle will be. The gun builders name is Donnie and he lives in North Alabama. I told him what I wanted; a good hunting rifle, good long range accuracy, and still be able to re-inact our fur trade era campouts. He suggested the 54 cal Virginia. I don't have...
I have done tons of research and talked to many bp enthusiust since this thread was started and a whole new world has opened up to me. I have decided on going back earlier than the 1861 and I'm having a flintlock Virginia rifle built; I cannot wait to shoot it. I may have to start a new thread...
Re: Having problems with my 92fs A buddy of mine has the same problems with the same gun. Factory mags and after market mags. We also tried other shooters. We are still working through the issues but all we have done so far us weed out probable causes.

Re: Looking For A New 1911 Where in Alabama are you from? The reason I ask is because I have a full custom 1911 10mm built by a friend here in south AL. His work is superb and we could link up sometime if you want to check out his work. He can give you more accuracy and features for your...
Re: Painting Barrel and Action Also I have had request to paint 4 other guns from friends and family. They all think it did a really good job and the guns keep coming. I think I've done 6 guns now with the original cans of paint; multi camo scheme.
Re: Painting Barrel and Action I've used Duracoat and didn't have great results with the south Alabama humidity. That was my fault, I realized I needed something more beginner friendly. My Rustoleum guns look better but they don't last as long. It mainly depends on what you are doing. If you...

Re: Questions on what to do... Also go to the RCBS website and watch for sales on their reloading kits. A few years ago I was able to pick up an entire turret kit ready to reload for $300.
